Non quod in his sit finis itineris et perfectio cunctorum, sed dispensator animarum Deus interserit laboribus quædam refrigeria, quibus recreata anima promptior reddatur ad aliquos labores. Elim interpretatur arietes: arietes sunt duces gregis, hi sunt apostoli duces gregis Christi, qui sunt etiam duodecim fontes. Sed quia non solum illos elegit Christus, sed et alios septuaginta, ideo septuaginta arbores scribuntur esse palmarum, et ipsi enim apostoli nominantur; unde Paulus: Deinde apostolis omnibus. Hæc te amœnitas post amaritudinem, hæc requies post laborem, hæc gratia suscipiat tentationem.
33.9 In Elim ubi erant. Profectique about amaritudine venerunt in Elim, ubi are duodecim fontes waterrum, and septuaginta palmæ erant. Vides after amaritudines and tentationum asperitates how amœna you(sg) suscipiant loca! Non venisses to palmas, nisi tentationum amaritudines pertulisses; but_not to dulcedinem fontium, nisi tristia and aspera superasses.
