WEB Gideon said to him, “Oh, my lord, if Yahweh is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, ‘Didn’t Yahweh bring us up from Egypt?’ But now Yahweh has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.”

LSV And Gideon says to Him, “O my Lord, [if] YHWH is indeed with us, then why has all this found us? And where [are] all His wonders which our fathers recounted to us, saying, Has YHWH not brought us up out of Egypt? And now YHWH has left us, and gives us into the hand of Midian.”

FBV “Excuse me, my lord, but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” Gideon replied. “Where are all his wonderful miracles that our forefathers reminded us about when they said, ‘Wasn't it the Lord who led us out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has given up on us and has handed us over to the Midianites.”

T4T Gideon replied, “Sir, if Yahweh is helping us, why have all these bad things happened to us? We heard about [RHQ] all the miracles that Yahweh performed for our ancestors. We heard people tell us about how he rescued them from being slaves in Egypt. But now Yahweh has abandoned us, and we are ruled by the people from Midian.”

LUT Gideon aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, ist der HErr mit uns, warum ist uns denn solches alles widerfahren? Und wo sind alle seine Wunder, die uns unsere Väter erzähleten und sprachen: Der HErr hat uns aus Ägypten geführet? Nun aber hat uns der HErr verlassen und unter der Midianiter Hände gegeben.
  (Gideon but spoke to ihm: My Herr, is the LORD with uns, warum is uns because solches alles widerfahren? And wo are all his Wunder, the uns unsere Väter erzähleten and said: The LORD has uns out of Egypt geführet? Nun but has uns the LORD verlassen and under the Midianiter Hände gegeben.)

CLV Dixitque ei Gedeon: Obsecro, mi domine, si Dominus nobiscum est, cur apprehenderunt nos hæc omnia? ubi sunt mirabilia ejus, quæ narraverunt patres nostri, atque dixerunt: De Ægypto eduxit nos Dominus? nunc autem dereliquit nos Dominus, et tradidit in manu Madian.

BRN And Gedeon said to him, Be gracious [fn]with me, my Lord: but if the Lord is with us, why have these evils found us? and where are all his miracles, which our fathers have related to us, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt? and now he has cast us out, and given us into the hand of Madiam.
