BSB § When Abner returned to Hebron, Joab pulled him aside into the gateway, as if to speak to him privately, and there Joab stabbed him in the stomach. So Abner died on account of the blood of Joab’s brother Asahel.

OEB And when Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him apart to the of the gate to speak with him quietly and smote him there in the body. So he died for the blood of Asahel Joab’s brother.

FBV When Abner arrived back in Hebron, Joab took him aside into the town gatehouse as if he was going to talk with him in private. But Joab stabbed him in the belly, killing him in revenge for killing Joab's brother Asahel.
