2 Therefore having _put _away all malice, and all deceit, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all slanders, 2 like newborn babies long the logical unadulterated milk, in _order _that by it you _all _may _be _grown for salvation, 3 if you _all _tasted that the master is good.
4 To whom approaching a_ living _stone, on _one _hand having _been _rejected by humans, on _the _other _hand chosen by god, honoured, 5 also yourselves as living stones you _all _are _being _built, a_ spiritual _house, into a_ holy _priesthood to _offer _up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to_god through Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) chosen _one /messiah.
6 Because it _is _contained in in _scripture:
Behold, I _am _laying a_stone in Siōn/(Tsiyyōn), a_cornerstone chosen honoured, and the one believing in him, by _no _means may_ not _be _disgraced.
7 Therefore is the value to _you _all, the ones believing, but to _disbelieving ones The_stone which the ones building rejected, this was _become to the_head of_the_corner, 8 and:
A_stone of _stumbling, and a_rock of _offense, who are _stumbling disbelieving in _the message, to which also they _were _appointed.
9 But you _all are a_ chosen _race:
a_royal priesthood, a_ holy _nation, a_people for ^his_procuring, so _that the virtues you _all _may _proclaim _out, of _the one having _called you _all out _of darkness, to the marvellous light of _him, 10 who once were not a_people, but now are the_people of_god, the ones not having _been _shown _mercy, and now having _been _shown _mercy.
11 Beloved, I _am _exhorting as sojourners and aliens, to _be _keeping _away from _the fleshly desires, which are _warring against your soul, 12 having the good conduct of _you _all among the pagans, in _order _that at which they _are _slandering against _you _all as of _evildoers, by observing your good works, they _may _glorify the god in the_day of _visitation.
13 Be _subjected to _every human creation because _of the master, whether to_the_king as being _above, 14 or to _governors as being _sent by him, because/for vengeance to _evildoers, but praise to _welldoers.
15 Because thus is the will of_ the _god, doing _good to _be _silencing the ignorance of_ the _foolish people.
, 16 as free live, and not having the freedom as a_cover-up of _the evil, but as slaves of_god.
17 Honor all, be _loving the brotherhood, be _revering the god, be _honouring the king.
18 The house _servants, being _subjected with all respect to _your masters, not only to _the good and gentle, but also to _the crooked.
19 For/Because this a_favour is, if because _of conscience of_god, anyone is _bearing _under sorrows suffering unjustly.
20 For/Because what credit is _it, if sinning and being _beaten you _all _will _be _enduring it?
But if doing _good and suffering you _all _will _be _enduring it, this is a_favour before god.
21 For/Because you _all _were _called to this, because chosen _one /messiah also suffered for you _all, leaving an_example to _you _all, in _order _that you _all _may _follow _after after _the steps of _him, 22 who neither did sin, nor was_ deceit _found in the mouth of _him, 23 who being _insulted, was_ not _retaliating, suffering, was_ not _threatening, but was _giving _over him to _the one judging justly, 24 who himself offered _up the sins of _us in the body of _him on the stake, in _order _that having _died to_ the _sins, we _may _live to_ the _righteousness, of _whose by _his wounds you _all _were _healed.
25 For/Because you _all _were like sheep being _strayed, but you _all _were _returned now to the shepherd and overseer of _the souls of _you _all.
