UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

וַיִּ֨מְצְאוּ שָׁ֔ם בְּאֵ֖ר מַ֥יִם חַיִּֽים

and=they_found there well waters life(pl)

The phrase living water is an idiom that means the well was spring fed and was a source of continually flowing, fresh water to drink. Alternate translation: “and struck a spring of flowing water there.”
