TSNTyndale Study Notes:

28:9-10 you have gone too far: Although the Lord was using Israel as a means of punishment toward Judah, the covenant prohibited the enslavement and murder of fellow Israelites (28:10; Lev 25:39-55).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

(Occurrence 0) But are you not guilty of sins of your own against Yahweh your God?

(Some words not found in UHB: and=now sons_of Yehuda and,Jerusalem you_all intend to,subjugate as,slaves and,as,female_servants to/for=you_all ?,not only you_all of,your_all's sins to/for=YHWH God_of,your_all's )

Oded asks this rhetorical question to rebuke the army of Israel and to emphasize the positive answer that the question anticipates. Alternate translation: “But you yourselves are guilty of sins of your own against Yahweh your God.”
