21 After all this, Yeshua revealed himself again to his apprentices at Lake Galilee. It happened like this: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas nicknamed ‘Twin’, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other apprentices had gathered together 3 [ref]when Simon Peter said that he was going fishing and the others said that they’d join him.
So they went off and got in the boat, but they didn’t catch anything that night.
4 When the dawn was approaching, Yeshua was standing there on the shore, but they didn’t know that it was him. 5 He called out, “Hey, young fellas. Don’t you have any fish?”
“None.” they answered.
6 [ref]Then he said, “Throw the net out over the right side of the boat and you’ll find some.” So they did it and they caught so many fish that the net was too heavy to pull back in.
7 Now the apprentice that Yeshua loved said to Peter, “It’s the master!” When Simon Peter heard that, he put on his robe (because he didn’t have it on), and jumped overboard into the lake. 8 The other apprentices followed in the little boat dragging the net behind them because they were only about 100m out from the shore. 9 When they went up the beach, they saw some bread there and a charcoal fire with fish cooking on it 10 and Yeshua told them, “Bring some of the fish that you just caught.”
11 So Simon Peter went and dragged the net up onto the beach. Amazingly it hadn’t torn even though it contained 153 large fish. 12 Then Yeshua said, “Now, come and have breakfast.” But none of the apprentices dared to ask who he was, because they figured it must be the master. 13 Yeshua brought the bread to them and shared it around, and then likewise for the fish.
14 This was now the third time that Yeshua had appeared to his apprentices since he’d come back to life.
21 After these things, Yaʸsous revealed himself again to_the apprentices/followers at the sea of_ the _Tiberios, and he_revealed himself thus:
2 Simōn Petros, and Thōmas which being_called Didumos/[twin], and Nathanaaʸl the one from Kana of_ the _Galilaia/(Gālīl), and the sons the of_Zebedaios, and two others of the apprentices/followers of_him.
were together.
3 Simōn Petros is_saying to_them:
I_am_going to_be_fishing.
They_are_saying to_him:
We are_ also _coming with you.
They_came_out and they_boarded into the boat, and at that the night they_caught nothing.
4 But in_the_morning already becoming, Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) stood on the shore, however the apprentices/followers had_ not _known that it_is Yaʸsous.
5 therefore Yaʸsous is_saying to_them:
Little_children, you_all_are_ not _having any fish?
They_answered to_him:
No.
6 And he said to_them:
Cast the net to the right side of_the boat, and you_all_will_be_finding them.
Therefore they_throw, and was_ no_longer _able to_drag it because_of the multitude of_the fishes.
7 Therefore the apprentice/follower that whom the Yaʸsous was_loving is_saying to_ the _Petros:
It_is the master.
Therefore Simōn Petros having_heard that it_is the master, girded his outer_garment, because/for he_was naked, and throw himself into the sea.
8 And the other apprentices/followers in_the little_boat came, because/for they_were not far from the land, but from about two_hundred cubits dragging the net with_the fishes.
9 Therefore when they_got_out on the land, they_are_seeing a_charcoal_fire lying, and fish laying_on it, and bread.
10 The Yaʸsous is_saying to_them:
Bring from the fish which you_all_caught now.
11 Therefore Simōn Petros went_up, and dragged the net to the land full of_ large _fishes a_hundred fifty three, but being so_many, the net was_ not _torn.
12 The Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) is_saying to_them:
Come, eat_breakfast.
But no_one of_the apprentices/followers was_daring to_question him, who are You?
Having_known that it_is the master.
13 Yaʸsous is_coming, and is_taking the bread and is_giving to_them, and the fish likewise.
14 This now the_third time Yaʸsous was_revealed to_the apprentices/followers, having_been_raised from the_dead.
21:15 Yeshua questions Peter
15 While they were eating, Yeshua asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Yohan, do you love me more than these?”
Peter answered, “Yes, master, you know that I love you.”
Yeshua responded, “Feed my lambs.” 16 Then he asked again, “Simon, son of Yohan, do you love me?”
Peter replied, “Yes, master, you know that I love you.”
Yeshua responded, “Shepherd my sheep.” 17 Then he asked a third time, “Simon, son of Yohan, do you love me?”
Peter was now upset that he’d been asked a third time if he loved him, and he answered, “Master, you know everything.”
“Feed my sheep,” Yeshua responded. 18 “I can assure you that while you are young, you dress yourself and go wherever you want to go, but as you age, you’ll be stretching out your hands and others will dress you and will take you where you don’t want to go.” 19 When he said this, Yeshua was indicating how Peter would die honouring God, and he told Peter, “Keep following me.”
20 [ref]When Peter turned around he saw that the apprentice that Yeshua loved was following them—the one who’d leaned on Yeshua’s chest during the supper and asked who the one was who would turn Yeshua over. 21 Noticing him, Peter asked Yeshua, “Master, what about that one?”
22 But Yeshua replied, “If I want him to stay alive until I come back, what business would it be of yours? You just stay following me.”
23 As a result of that, a rumour went around the others that that one wouldn’t die, but Yeshua never said that. (He only said, “If I want him to stay alive until I come back, what business would it be of yours?”)
21:24 Statement of fact
24 This author is the apprentice that testifies about these things—the one who wrote this down and whose account is true. 25 (There were also many other things that Yeshua did, which if they were all written down then even the world itself wouldn’t have room for all the books that would need to be written.)

On the Friday of Passover, Jesus was crucified and his body was placed in a tomb, but early Sunday morning he was raised to life again through the power of the Holy Spirit! After this he appeared to many believers over a period of forty days until he ascended into heaven (Acts 1:1-4), although it is difficult to know in what order all these events occurred. The first believers to see the risen Jesus were women, including Mary Magdalene, who had gone that morning to finish preparing Jesus’ body with spices. Later that same day (Sunday) Jesus also appeared to two disciples traveling from Jerusalem to a town called Emmaus about seven miles away (Luke 24:13-36), likely at el-Qubeiba (see “The Battle at the Pool of Gibeon” map). Still later that day when the two disciples had returned to Jerusalem and were telling Jesus’ disciples what they saw, Jesus appeared again to them and several other believers. Apparently a week after this, presumably in Jerusalem, Jesus appeared again to a group of disciples that included Thomas (John 20:24-29). At some point Jesus also met his disciples on a mountain in the region of Galilee, perhaps at Mount Tabor or the cliffs of Arbel, where he had told them earlier to meet him (Matthew 28:16). Jesus also met with Peter and some other disciples who were fishing on the Sea of Galilee, likely near Capernaum (John 21:1-14). Finally at the end of Jesus’ forty days on earth after his resurrection, Jesus led his disciples out from Jerusalem to the vicinity of Bethany and ascended to heaven (Luke 24:50-53).
