4 Then the Yaʸsous was _ brought_ up into the wilderness by the spirit to _ be_ tempted by the devil .
2 And having _ fasted forty days and forty nights , later he _ hungered .
3 And the tempting having _ approached , said to _ him :
If you _ are the _ son of _ the _ god , speak that the these stones may _ become loaves .
4 But he answering said :
It _ has_ been_ written :
The person not only by bread will _ be_ living , but by every message going _ out through the _ mouth of _ god .
5 Then the devil is _ taking him to the holy city , and stood him on the pinnacle of _ the temple , 6 and he _ is_ saying to _ him :
If you _ are the _ son of _ the _ god , throw yourself down , because/for it _ has_ been_ written , that Will _ be_ commanding to _ the messengers of _ him concerning you , and :
They _ will_ be_ carrying you in ^their _ hands , lest you _ may_ strike the foot of _ you against a _ stone .
7 The Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) was _ saying to _ him :
Again it _ has_ been_ written :
You will _ not _ be_ Testing the _ master the god of _ you .
8 Again the devil is _ taking him to a _ exceedingly high _ mountain , and is _ showing to _ him all the kingdoms of _ the world and the glory of _ them , 9 and he _ said to _ him :
I _ will_ be_ giving all these to _ you if having _ fallen , you _ may_ prostrate before _ me .
10 Then the Yaʸsous is _ saying to _ him :
Be _ going_ away Satan/(Sāţān) , because/for it _ has_ been_ written :
You _ will_ be_ prostrating the _ master the god of _ you , and only unto _ him you _ will_ be_ serving .
11 Then the devil is _ leaving him , and see , messengers approached and were _ serving unto _ him .
12 And having _ heard that Yōannaʸs was _ given_ over , he _ withdrew into the Galilaia/(Gālīl) .
13 And having _ left the Nazaret , having _ come he _ dwelt at Kafarnaʼoum , which is by _ the _ seaside in the _ regions of _ Zaboulōn/(Zə ⱱūlūn) and Nefthaleim/(Naftālī) , 14 in _ order_ that the message may _ be_ fulfilled having _ been_ spoken by Aʸsaias/(Yə shaˊyāh ) the prophet saying , 15 Land of _ Zaboulōn and land of _ Nefthaleim , way of _ the _ sea , beyond the Yordanaʸs/(Yardēn) , Galilaia of _ the pagans .
16 The people which sitting in darkness saw a _ great _ light , and to _ the sitting in a _ land and shadow of _ death , a _ light rose on _ them .
17 From then the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) began to _ be_ proclaiming and to _ be_ saying :
Be _ repenting , because/for the kingdom of _ the heavens has _ neared .
18 And walking beside the sea of _ the _ Galilaia he _ saw two , brothers , Simōn which being _ called Petros and Andreas the brother of _ him , throwing a _ throwing_ net into the sea , because/for they _ were fishermen .
19 And he _ is_ saying to _ them :
Come after me , and I _ will_ be_ making you _ all fishermen of _ people .
20 And which immediately having _ left the nets , they _ followed after _ him .
21 And having _ advanced from _ there , he _ saw two other brothers , Yakōbos/(Yaˊₐqoⱱ) the son of _ the _ Zebedaios and Yōannaʸs the brother of _ him , in the boat with Zebedaios the father of _ them , preparing the nets of _ them , and he _ called them .
22 And which immediately having _ left the boat and the father of _ them , they _ followed after _ him .
23 And the Yaʸsous he _ was_ going_ around in all the Galilaia/(Gālīl) , teaching in the synagogues of _ them , and proclaiming the good _ message of _ the kingdom , and healing every disease and every sickness among the people .
24 And the report of _ him went _ away into all the Suria/(ʼArām) .
And they _ brought to _ him all the sickly , having with _ various diseases , and being _ gripped_ with with _ torments , being _ demon_ possessed , and being _ epileptic , and paralytic , and he _ healed them .
25 And great crowds followed after _ him from the Galilaia , and the _ Dekapolis , and Hierousalaʸm/(Yə rūshālayim) , and Youdaia , and beyond the Yordanaʸs/(Yardēn) .
