14 At that the time, Haʸrōdaʸs the quarter _ruler heard the report of_Yaʸsous, 2 and he _said to _the servants of _him:
This is Yōannaʸs the immerser, he was _raised from the dead, and because _of this the miracles are _working in him.
3 For/Because the Haʸrōdaʸs having _apprehended the Yōannaʸs, bound him and put_ him _away in prison, because _of Haʸrōidias, the wife of _Filippos, the brother of _him.
4 For/Because the Yōannaʸs was _saying, to _him It _is_ not _permitting for _you to _be _having her.
5 And wanting to _kill_ him _off, he _was _afraid the crowd, because they _were _having him as a_prophet.
6 But for_the_birthday _celebrations of_ the _Haʸrōdaʸs having _become, the daughter of_ the _Haʸrōidias danced in the midst and brought _pleasure to_ the _Haʸrōdaʸs, 7 whence with an_oath, he _promised to _give to _her whatever if she _may _request.
8 And which having _been _urged _on by the mother of _her:
Give to _me, she _is _saying:
here on a_platter, the head of _Yōannaʸs the immerser.
9 And the king was _sorrowed but because _of the oaths and the ones reclining, he _commanded it to _be _given.
10 And having _sent, he _beheaded Yōannaʸs in the prison.
11 And the head of _him was _brought on a_platter, and it _was _given to _the little _girl, and she _brought it to _the mother of _her.
12 And having _approached, the apprentices/followers of _him took _away the corpse and buried him, and having _come, they _reported to_ the _Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa).
13 And the Yaʸsous having _heard, withdrew from _there by boat to a_desolate place by himself.
And having _heard it, the crowds followed after _him on _foot from the cities.
14 And having _come _out, he _saw a_ great _crowd, and he _was _feeling _compassion to them and healed the sick of _them.
15 And evening having _become, the apprentices/followers approached to _him saying:
The place is desolate and the hour already passed _by, send _away the crowds, in _order _that having _gone _away into the villages, they _may _buy foods for _themselves.
16 But the Yaʸsous said to _them:
They _are _having no need to _go _away.
You _all give something to _them to _eat.
17 And they are _saying to _him:
We _are_ not _having anything here, except not/lest five loaves and two fishes.
18 And he said:
Be _bringing them here to _me.
19 And having _commanded the crowds to _be _sat _down on the grass, and having _taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having _looked _up to the sky, he _blessed and having _broke, gave the loaves to _the apprentices/followers, and the apprentices/followers to _the crowds.
20 And all ate and were _satisfied, and they _took _up the part being _leftover of _the fragments, twelve baskets full.
21 And the ones eating were about five _thousand men, apart _from women and little _children.
22 And immediately he _compelled the apprentices/followers to _board into the boat, and to _be _going _before him to the side across, until of _which he _may _send _away the crowds.
23 And having _sent _away the crowds, he _went _up on the mountain by himself to _pray.
And evening having _become, he _was alone there.
24 And the boat was now the_midst the of_the_sea, being _tormented by the waves, because/for the wind was contrary.
25 And in_the_fourth watch of _the night, he _came to them walking on the sea.
26 And the apprentices/followers having _seen him walking on the sea were _disturbed saying, that It _is a_ghost, and they _cried _out in the fear.
27 But immediately the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) spoke to _them saying:
Be _having _courage, I am here, be_ not _fearing.
28 And the Petros answering to _him, said:
master, if you are, command me to _come to you on the waters.
29 And he said:
Come.
And Petros having _come _down from the boat, walked on the waters and came to the Yaʸsous.
30 But seeing the mighty wind, he _was _afraid and having _begun to _be _being _sunk, he _cried _out saying:
master, save me.
31 And immediately the Yaʸsous having _stretched _out his hand, took _hold of _him and is _saying to _him:
Little _faith one, because/for why you _doubted?
32 And of _them having _gone _up into the boat, the wind died _down.
33 And the ones in the boat prostrated before _him saying:
Truly you _are the_son of_god.
34 And having _crossed _over, they _came to the land to Gennaʸsaret.
35 And having _recognized him, the men of_ the that _place sent _out to all the that surrounding _region, and brought to _him all the ones being sickly, 36 and they _were _begging him that they _may_ only _touch against _the fringe of _the garment of _him, and as _many _as touched were _cured.
