16 And the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect having _approached, tempting him they _asked him for_a_sign out _of the sky to _show to _them.

2 But he answering said to _them,

4 A_ evil and adulterous _generation is _seeking _after a_sign, and a_sign ˓will˒_ not _be _being _given to _it, except not/lest the sign of _Yōnas/(Yōnāh).
And having _left them he _went _away.

5 And the apprentices/followers having _come to the side across, they _forgot to _take loaves.

6 And the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) said to _them:
Be _watching and be _taking _heed of the leaven of _the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect.

7 And they were _reasoning among themselves saying, that we_ not _took Loaves.

8 But the Yaʸsous having _known, said:
Why are _you _all _reasoning among yourselves, little _faith ones, because you _all _are_ not _having loaves?

9 You _all _are_ not _yet _understanding, neither are _you _all _remembering the five loaves of _the five _thousand, and how _many baskets you _all _took?

10 Nor the seven loaves of _the four _thousand, and how _many baskets you _all _took?

11 How you _all _are_ not _understanding that I _spoke to _you _all not concerning the_loaves?
And be _taking _heed of the leaven of _the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect.

12 Then they _understood that he_ not _said to _be _taking _heed of the leaven of _the loaves, but of the teaching of _the Farisaios_party and Saddoukaios_sect.

13 And the Yaʸsous having _come into the districts of _Kaisareia which Filippou, was _asking the apprentices/followers of _him saying:
Whom are_ the people _saying the son of_ the _man to _be?

14 And they said:
The ones on _one _hand Yōannaʸs the immerser, on _the _other _hand others Aʸlias/(ʼĒliy^yāh), on _the _other _hand others Yeremias/(Yirmə^yāh) or one of _the prophets.

15 He _is _saying to _them:
But you _all, whom are _saying me to _be?

16 And Simōn Petros answering said:
You are the chosen _one /messiah, the son of _the which living god.

17 And the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) answering said to _him:
You _are blessed, Simōn Barjonah, because flesh and blood not revealed _it to _you, but the father of _me, who is in the heavens.

18 And also _I am _saying to _you that you are Petros, but on this the rock I _will _be _building the assembly of _me, and the_gates of _Haidaʸs ˓will˒_ not _be _prevailing against _it.

19 I _will _be _giving the keys of _the kingdom of _the heavens, to _you, and whatever if you _may _bind on the earth, will _be having _been _bound in the heavens, and whatever if you _may _untie/release on the earth, will _be having _been _untied/released in the heavens.

20 Then he _instructed to _the apprentices/followers that they _may _say to _no _one that he is the chosen _one /messiah.

21 From then the Yaʸsous chosen _one /messiah began to _be _showing to _the apprentices/followers of _him that it _is _fitting him to _go _away to Hierousalaʸm/(Yərūshālayim), and to _suffer many things from the elders, and chief _priests, and scribes, and to _be _killed _off and on _the third day to _be _raised.

22 And the Petros having _taken _aside him, he _began to _be _giving _rebuke to _him saying:
Merciful be to _you, master, by _no _means this will_ not _be to _you.

23 But he having _been _turned said to_ the _Petros:
Be _going behind me, Satan/(Sāţān).
You _are a_temptation of _me, because you _are_ not _thinking the things of_ the _god, but the things the of _humans.

24 Then the Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) said to _the apprentices/followers of _him:
If anyone is _wanting to _come after me, let _him _renounce himself, and let _him _take _up the stake of _him, and let _him _be _following after _me.

25 For/Because whoever if may _be _wanting to _save the life of _him will _be _losing it, but whoever wishfully may _lose the life of _him on _account me, will _be _finding it.

26 For/Because what ˓will˒_ a_person _be _being _benefitted, if he _may _gain the whole world, but the soul of _him may _be _lost?
Or what ˓will˒_ a_person _be _giving as_an_exchange for _the soul of _him?

27 For/Because the son of_ the _man is _going to _be _coming in the glory of _the father of _him with the messengers of _him, and then he _will _be _giving _back to _each according _to the practice of _him.

28 Truly, I _am _saying to _you _all that are some of _the ones having _stood here who by _no _means may_ not _taste of _death, until wishfully they _may _see the son of_ the _man coming in the kingdom of _him.
