27 And having _ become in _ the_ morning , all the chief _ priests and the elders of _ the people took counsel against the Yaʸsous , so _ that to _ put_ him _ to_ death , 2 and having _ bound him , they _ led_ away and gave _ him _ over to _ Pilatos the governor .
3 Then Youdas/(Yə hūdāh) the giving _ him _ over , having _ seen that he _ was_ condemned , having _ been_ regretful , he _ returned the thirty silver _ coins to _ the chief _ priests and elders 4 saying :
I _ sinned having _ given_ over innocent blood .
But they said :
What is _ it to us ?
You will _ be_ seeing to _ it .
5 And having _ thrown_ down the silver _ coins into the temple , he _ withdrew and having _ gone_ away hanged himself .
6 And the chief _ priests having _ taken the silver _ coins said :
It _ is_ not _ permitting to _ put them into the temple _ treasury , because it _ is the _ price of _ blood .
7 And having _ taken counsel , they _ bought the field of _ the potter with them , because/for a _ burial_ place for _ the strangers .
8 Therefore the that field was _ called the _ field of _ blood to the day today .
9 Then the message having _ been_ spoken by Yeremias/(Yirmə yāh ) the prophet was _ fulfilled saying :
And they _ took the thirty silver _ coins , the price of _ the having _ been_ priced , whom they _ priced by the _ sons of _ Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl ) , 10 and they _ gave them for the field of _ the potter , as the _ master directed to _ me .
11 And the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) was _ stood before the governor , and the governor asked him saying :
Are you the king of _ the Youdaiōns ?
And the Yaʸsous was _ saying to _ him :
You are _ saying it .
12 And in that to _ him _ be_ being_ accused by the chief _ priests and the elders , he _ answered nothing .
13 Then the Pilatos is _ saying to _ him :
You _ are_ not _ hearing how _ many against _ you they _ are_ testifying ?
14 And he _ not _ answered to _ him , to not _ even one message , so _ as to _ be_ marvelling the governor exceedingly .
15 And concerning the _ feast , the governor had _ been_ accustomed to _ be_ sending_ away one prisoner to _ the crowd , whom they _ were_ wanting .
16 And they _ were_ having then the _ notable _ prisoner being _ called Barabbas .
17 Therefore of _ them having _ been_ gathered_ together , the Pilatos said to _ them :
Whom are _ you_ all_ willing I _ may_ send_ away to _ you_ all , Barabbas or Yaʸsous , who is being _ called the _ chosen _ one/messiah ?
18 For/Because he _ had_ known that they _ gave_ him _ over because _ of envy .
19 But him sitting on the tribunal , the wife of _ him sent _ out to him saying :
Let _ be nothing to _ you and the that righteous man , because/for I _ suffered many today in a _ dream because _ of him .
20 But the chief _ priests and the elders persuaded the crowds that they _ may_ request the Barabbas and they _ may_ destroy the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) .
21 And the governor answering said to _ them :
Which are _ you_ all_ wanting of the two , I _ may_ send_ away to _ you_ all ?
And they said , the Barabbas .
22 The Pilatos is _ saying to _ them :
Therefore what may _ I_ do to _ Yaʸsous , who is being _ called the _ chosen _ one/messiah ?
All are _ saying :
Let _ him_ be_ executed_ on_ a_ stake .
23 And he was _ saying :
For/Because what evil he _ did ?
And they were _ exceedingly _ crying_ out saying :
Let _ him_ be_ executed_ on_ a_ stake .
24 And the Pilatos having _ seen that it _ is_ benefiting nothing , but rather is _ becoming a _ commotion , having _ taken water , he _ washed_ off his hands in _ front_ of the crowd saying :
I _ am innocent of the blood the this righteous , .
you _ all will _ be_ seeing to _ it .
25 And all the people answering said :
The blood of _ him is on us and on the children of _ us .
26 Then he _ sent_ The Barabbas _ away to _ them , but having _ flogged the Yaʸsous , he _ gave_ him _ over , in _ order_ that he _ may_ be_ executed_ on_ a_ stake .
27 Then the soldiers of _ the governor , having _ taken the Yaʸsous to the residence _ of_ the_ governor , gathered _ together all the cohort before him .
28 And having _ stripped_ him _ off , they _ put_ around a _ scarlet _ robe to _ him , 29 and having _ twisted_ together a _ crown of thorns , they _ put_ on it on the head of _ him , and a _ staff in the right hand of _ him , and having _ kneeled before him , they _ mocked at _ him saying :
Greetings , the king of _ the Youdaiōns .
30 And having _ spat on him , they _ took the reed and they _ were_ striking him on the head of _ him .
31 And when they _ mocked at _ him , they _ stripped_ the robe _ off him and they _ dressed_ him _ in the clothes of _ him , and they _ led_ him _ away into the place to _ execute_ on_ a_ stake him .
32 And coming _ out , they _ found a _ a _ from_ Kuraʸnaʸ _ man , by _ the _ name Simōn .
This they _ compelled that he _ may_ carry the stake of _ him .
33 And having _ come to a _ place being _ called Golgotha/(Gulgolet) , which is being _ called place Of _ the _ skull , 34 they _ gave wine having _ been_ mixed with gall to _ him to _ drink , and having _ tasted it , he _ not _ willed to _ drink it .
35 And having _ executed_ on_ a_ stake him , they _ divided the clothes of _ him , throwing a _ lot , 36 and sitting they _ were_ guarding him there .
37 And they _ put_ on over the head of _ him the charge of _ him having _ been_ written :
This is Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) , the king of _ the Youdaiōns .
38 Then two robbers are _ being_ executed_ on_ a_ stake with him , one on the _ right , and one on the _ left .
39 And the passing _ through were _ slandering him , shaking the heads of _ them 40 and saying :
You tearing _ down the temple and building it in three days , save yourself .
If you _ are the _ son , of _ the _ god , come _ down from the stake .
41 Likewise the chief _ priests with the scribes and elders mocking were _ saying , 42 He _ saved others , he _ is_ not _ able to _ save himself .
He _ Is king of _ Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl ) , let _ him_ come_ down now from the stake , and we _ will_ be_ believing in him .
43 He _ has_ trusted in the god , let _ him_ rescue now if he _ is_ wanting him .
For/Because he _ said , that I _ am the _ son of _ god .
44 And the same also the robbers , the having _ been_ executed_ on_ a_ stake_ with with him , were _ deriding him .
45 And from the _ sixth hour , darkness became over all the land until the _ ninth _ hour .
46 And about the ninth hour , the Yaʸsous shouted with _ a _ loud _ voice saying :
Eloi , Eloi , lema sabachthani ?
This is :
god of _ me , god of _ me , because/for _ why _ reason you _ abandoned me ?
47 And some of _ the having _ stood there having _ heard were _ saying , that This man is _ calling Aʸlias/(ʼĒliyyāh ) .
48 And immediately one of them having _ run and having _ taken a _ sponge , and having _ filled it with _ wine_ vinegar and having _ put_ around it around _ a _ reed , was _ giving_ him _ to_ drink .
49 But the rest were _ saying :
Leave it , we _ may_ see whether Aʸlias is _ coming , going _ to_ save him .
50 And the Yaʸsous/(Yə hōshūˊa) again having _ cried_ out with _ a _ loud _ voice , sent _ away his spirit .
51 And see , the curtain of _ the temple was _ torn into two from top to bottom , and the earth was _ shaken and the rocks were _ divided , 52 and the tombs were _ opened_ up and many bodies of _ the holy having _ been_ fallen_ asleep was _ raised , 53 and having _ come_ out out _ of the tombs after the resurrection of _ him , they _ came_ in into the holy city and were _ manifested to _ many .
54 And the centurion and the with him guarding the Yaʸsous , having _ seen the earthquake and the having _ become , were _ exceedingly _ afraid saying :
Truly this was son of _ god .
55 And there were many women observing from afar , who followed the after _ Yaʸsous from the Galilaia/(Gālīl) serving unto _ him , 56 among whom was Maria/(Miryām) the from _ Magdala , and Maria the mother of _ the _ Yakōbos/(Yaˊₐqoⱱ) and of _ Yōsaʸs/(Yōşēf?
) , and the mother of _ the sons of _ Zebedaios .
57 And having _ become evening , a _ rich _ man from Arimathaia came , namely Yōsaʸf/(Yōşēf) , who also himself trained to _ the _ Yaʸsous .
58 This having _ approached to _ the _ Pilatos , requested the body of _ the _ Yaʸsous .
Then the Pilatos commanded it to _ be_ given_ back .
59 And having _ taken the body , the Yōsaʸf wrapped it in _ a _ clean _ linen_ cloth , 60 and put it in the new tomb of _ him which he _ hewn in the rock , and having _ rolled a _ great _ stone to _ the door of _ the tomb , he _ went_ away .
61 And Maria the from _ Magdala was there and the other Maria , sitting in _ front_ of the tomb .
62 And on _ the day of _ next , which is after the preparation day , the chief _ priests and the Farisaios _ party were _ gathered_ together to Pilatos 63 saying :
Master , we _ were_ reminded that that the deceiver still living said :
I _ am_ being_ raised after three days .
64 Therefore command the tomb to _ be_ secured until the third day , lest the apprentices/followers having _ come may _ steal him and they _ may_ say to _ the people :
He _ was_ raised from the dead , and the last deception will _ be worse than the first .
65 And the Pilatos was _ saying to _ them :
You _ all_ are_ having a _ guard , be _ going secure it as you _ all_ have_ known .
66 And they having _ been_ gone , secured the tomb , having _ sealed the stone with the guard .
