Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet
וְכָל־מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה תָקְפּוֹ֙ וּגְב֣וּרָת֔וֹ
and=all acts power,his and,might,his
Power and might mean essentially the same thing. They are used together to emphasize how powerful King Ahasuerus was. If it is more natural in your language, you can use one word with that meaning, with another word that gives it emphasis. Alternate translation: “all that he achieved because of how very powerful he was” or “all the great things that he did because of his great power”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
תָקְפּוֹ֙ וּגְב֣וּרָת֔וֹ
power,his and,might,his
The abstract nouns power and might can be translated with an adjective. See the UST.
וּפָרָשַׁת֙
and,full_account
Alternate translation: “They also wrote a full account”
גְּדֻלַּ֣ת מָרְדֳּכַ֔י
greatness Mārəddəkay
Alternate translation: “of how important Mordecai was” or “of how the king had honored Mordecai for the great things he had done”
גִּדְּל֖וֹ
advanced,him
See how you translated this phrase in 3:1 and 5:11. Alternate translation: “had promoted him”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion
הֲלוֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֨פֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י הַיָּמִ֔ים לְמַלְכֵ֖י מָדַ֥י וּפָרָֽס
am=not they written on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in writing annals_of the=days of,kings Media and,Persia
This is actually a statement. The question form is used to emphasize the certainty of the statement. If questions are not used this way in your language, then use a statement instead, as in the UST.
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
הֲלוֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים
am=not they written
You can say this with an active form, and you can say who did the action. Alternate translation: “The king’s scribes made a record …”
הֲלוֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים
am=not they written
Because it comes first logically, you can put this first in the verse, if it would be helpful in your language.
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
סֵ֨פֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י הַיָּמִ֔ים לְמַלְכֵ֖י מָדַ֥י וּפָרָֽס
writing annals_of the=days of,kings Media and,Persia
See how you translated this in 2:23. Alternate translation: “the royal record books of Media and Persia”
10:2 The Book of the History of the Kings of Media and Persia was the Persian royal annals. While many ancient Persian records have survived, this reference to the greatness of Mordecai has not been found in any records excavated thus far.
OET (OET-LV) And_all the_achievement power_his and_might_his and_full_account of_the_greatness of_Mārəddəkay whom advanced_him the_king am_not [are]_they written on the_scroll of_the_words the_days of_kings of_Media and_Fāraş.
OET (OET-RV) Everything he accomplished through his power and strength is written down in the royal chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia, as well as the complete account of the high position to which the king promoted Mordekai.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
