ULTYou also say, ‘How tiresome this is,’ and you snort at it,” says Yahweh of hosts. “You bring what has been taken by a wild animal or is lame or sick; and this you bring as your offering. Should I accept this from your hand?” says Yahweh.

USTYou also say,
¶ ‘We are tired of burning all these sacrifices on the altar.’
¶ You turn up your noses at doing this. You bring sheep or goats that wild animals have attacked and torn in two. You also bring animals that are sick or that cannot walk. You cannot really think that I should accept these from you, can you?”
§ This is what Yahweh, commander of the angel armies, says.

BSB  § You also say: ‘Oh, what a nuisance!’ And you turn up your nose at it,” says the LORD of Hosts.
§ “You bring offerings that are stolen, lame, or sick! Should I accept these from your hands?” asks the LORD.

OEBYou say also, “How tired we are of all this!” and you sniff contemptuously at it. You have brought the blind, the lame and the sick as offerings. Should I accept this from your hand?’ says the Lord of hosts.

WEBYou say also, ‘Behold,[fn] what a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, says Yahweh of Armies; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says Yahweh.

1:13 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

WMBYou say also, ‘Behold,[fn] what a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, says the LORD of Hosts; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says the LORD.

NETYou also say, ‘How tiresome it is.’ You turn up your nose at it,” says the Lord who rules over all, “and instead bring what is stolen, lame, or sick. You bring these things for an offering! Should I accept this from you?” asks the Lord.

LSVAnd you have said, Behold, what a weariness,
And you have puffed at it,” said YHWH of Hosts,
“And you have brought in plunder,
And the lame and the sick,
And you have brought in the present! Do I accept it from your hand?” said YHWH.

FBVYou say, “All this is too much trouble!” and you sniff scornfully at it, says the Lord Almighty. But when you bring animals that are stolen or crippled or sick and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept what you're giving? asks the Lord.

T4TYou say ‘We are tired of burning all these sacrifices on the altar.’ You turn up your noses at/act very disrespectfully toward► me. When you bring to me animals that have been stolen or ones that are crippled or that have diseases, to offer them for sacrifices, do you think that [RHQ] I should accept them?

LEBAnd you say, ‘Look! This is a weariness,’ and you sniff with disdain at it,” says Yahweh of hosts. “And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the one that is sick—this you bring as the offering! Should I accept it[fn] from your hand?” says Yahweh.

?:? Literally “take pleasure in it”

BBEAnd you say, See, what a weariness it is! and you let out your breath at it, says the Lord of armies; and you have given what has been cut about by beasts, and what is damaged in its feet and ill; this is the offering you give: will this be pleasing to me from your hands? says the Lord.
