17 And_he_lifted_up eyes_of_his and_he/it_saw DOM the_man who_was_travelling in_the_open_square_of the_city and_he/it_said the_man[fn][fn] (the)_old where are_you_going and_from_where are_you_coming.
18 And_he/it_said to_him/it are_passing we from_Bēyt- food/grain/bread Yəhūdāh/(Judah) to the_remotest_parts_of the_hill_country_of ʼEfrayim from_there I and_I_went to Bēyt- leḩem Yəhūdāh and_DOM the_house_of YHWH I am_going and_there_was_not anyone who_was_receiving me to_the_house.
19 And_also straw as_well_as fodder there_are for_donkeys_of_our and_also food and_wine there_are to_me and_for_maidservant_of_your and_for_servant with your_servants there_is_not lack_of any_of thing.
20 And_he/it_said the_man (the)_old peace to/for_you(fs) certainly all_of lack_of_your is_on_me only in_square do_not spend_the_night.
21 And_he_brought_him to_house_of_his and_he_fed[fn][fn][fn] (to)_donkeys and_they_washed feet_of_their and_they_ate and_they_drank.
