6 and _ the _ people_ of _ they _ made of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) the _ evil in/on _ both _ eyes_ of YHWH and _ he _ gave _ them YHWH in _ the _ hand_ of Midyān seven years .

3 And _ it _ was if it _ sowed Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he/it _ would_ go_ up Midyān and _ ˊAmālēq and _ the _ sons the _ east and _ they _ went_ up on/upon/above _ him/it .
4 And _ they _ encamped on _ them and _ they _ destroyed DOM the _ produce_ of the _ earth/land until you _ come ˊAzzāh and _ not they _ left sustenance in _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ a _ sheep and _ an _ ox and _ a _ donkey .
5 If/because they and _ their _ of_ livestock they _ came_ up and _ their _ of_ tents wwww [fn ] according _ to _ the _ abundance_ of locust[s] to _ increase _ in_ number and _ to _ them and _ to _ their _ of_ camels there _ was _ not number and _ they _ came in/on _ the_ earth to _ destroy _ it .
6 And _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ it _ became_ low very from _ face/in _ front_ of Midyān and _ the _ people_ of _ they _ cried_ out of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to YHWH .
7 and _ he/it _ was if/because the _ people_ of they _ cried_ out of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to YHWH on the _ causes_ of Midyān .
8 And _ YHWH _ he _ sent a _ man a _ prophet to the _ people_ of Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he/it _ said to/for _ them thus YHWH he _ says the _ god_ of Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) I I _ brought_ up you(pl) from _ Miʦrayim/(Egypt) and _ I _ brought_ out you(pl) from _ a _ house_ of slaves .
9 And _ I _ delivered you(pl) from _ the _ hand_ of Miʦrayim and _ from _ the _ hand_ of all _ of those _ of_ who _ oppressed_ you(pl) and _ I _ drove_ out them from _ before _ of_ you(pl) and _ I _ gave to/for _ you(pl) DOM land _ of_ their .
10 And _ I _ said to/for _ you(pl) I am _ YHWH god _ of_ your(pl) not you(pl) _ must_ fear DOM the _ gods_ of the _ ʼAmorī whom you(pl) are _ dwelling in _ their _ of_ land and _ not you(pl) _ have_ listened to _ my _ of_ voice .
11 and _ the _ messenger_ of _ he _ came of _ YHWH and _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//lived under the _ terebinth which was _ in_ ˊĀfə rāh which belonged _ to _ Yōʼāsh/(Joash) the _ Abi- ezrite and _ Gidˊōn his/its _ son was _ beating_ out wheat(s) in _ winepress to _ hide _ from _ face/in _ front_ of Midyān .
12 And _ he _ appeared to _ him/it the _ messenger_ of[fn ] [fn ] [fn ] of _ YHWH and _ he/it _ said to _ him/it YHWH is _ with_ you Oh _ mighty_ man _ of (the) _ strength .
13 And _ he/it _ said to _ him/it Gidˊōn pardon _ me my _ master and _ (there) YHWH is _ with_ us and _ for _ what has _ it _ found_ us all _ of this and _ where are _ all_ of his _ of_ wonders which they _ recounted to/for _ us fathers _ of_ our to _ say not from _ Miʦrayim/(Egypt) did _ he _ bring_ us_ up YHWH and _ now he _ has _ abandoned_ us YHWH and _ he _ has _ given_ us in _ the _ palm_ of Midyān .

16 And _ he/it _ said to _ him/it YHWH if/because I _ will_ be with _ you and _ you _ will_ defeat DOM Midyān like _ a _ man one .

20 and _ he/it _ said to _ him/it the _ messenger_ of the _ ʼElohīm take DOM the _ meat and _ DOM the _ unleavened_ bread(s) and _ set _ them to the _ rock this and _ DOM the _ broth pour _ out and _ he/it _ made so .
21 And _ the _ messenger_ of _ he _ stretched_ out of _ YHWH DOM the _ end_ of the _ staff which in _ his/its _ hand and _ he _ touched (in) _ meat and _ (in)_ the _ bread(s) and _ it _ went_ up the _ fire from the _ rock and _ she/it _ ate DOM the _ meat and _ DOM the _ unleavened_ bread(s) and _ the _ messenger_ of YHWH he _ went from _ his _ of_ eyes .

25 and _ he/it _ was in _ night (the) _ that and _ he/it _ said to _ him/it YHWH take DOM the _ young_ bull_ of the _ ox[en] which belongs _ to_ your _ of_ father and _ the _ young_ bull_ of the _ second seven years and _ you _ will_ tear_ down DOM the _ altar_ of (the) _ Baˊal which belongs _ to_ your _ of_ father and _ DOM the _ ʼAshērāh_ pole which on/upon/above _ him/it you _ will_ cut_ down .
26 And _ you _ will_ build an _ altar to/for _ YHWH god _ of_ your on the _ top_ of the _ place_ of_ refuge the _ this in _ row and _ you _ will_ take DOM the _ young_ bull the _ second and _ you _ will_ offer_ up a _ burnt_ offering with _ the _ wood(s)_ of the _ ʼAshērāh_ pole which you _ will_ cut_ down .
27 And _ Gidˊōn _ he/it _ took ten men of _ his _ of_ servants and _ he/it _ made just _ as he _ had_ spoken to _ him/it YHWH and _ he/it _ was just _ as he _ feared DOM the _ household_ of his/its _ father and _ DOM the _ men_ of the _ city from _ acting by _ day and _ he/it _ made night .

29 And _ they _ said each to his/its _ neighbour who has _ he_ done the _ thing the _ this and _ they _ investigated and _ they _ searched and _ they _ said Gidˊōn the _ son_ of Yōʼāsh/(Joash) he _ has_ done the _ thing (the) _ this .
30 And _ the _ men_ of _ they _ said the _ city to Yōʼāsh bring _ out DOM son _ of_ your so _ that _ he_ may_ die if/because he _ has_ torn_ down DOM the _ altar_ of (the) _ Baˊal and _ because/when he _ has_ cut_ down the _ ʼAshērāh_ pole which on/upon/above _ him/it .
31 And _ Yōʼāsh _ he/it _ said to _ all/each/any/every those _ who they _ stood on/upon/above _ him/it you(pl) will _ you _ conduct_ a_ case for _ Baˊal or you(pl) will _ you _ deliver him the _ _ who he _ will_ conduct_ a_ case to _ him/it he _ will_ be_ put_ to_ death until the _ morning if is _ a_ god he let _ him_ conduct_ a_ case to _ him/it if/because someone _ has_ torn_ down DOM altar _ of_ his .
32 And _ he/it _ called to _ him/it on _ day (the) _ that Jerub-Baˊal to _ say let _ him_ conduct_ a_ case in/on/over _ him/it (the) _ Baˊal if/because he _ has_ torn_ down DOM altar _ of_ his .
33 and _ all Midyān and _ ˊAmālēq and _ the _ sons the _ east they _ gathered together and _ they _ passed_ over and _ they _ encamped in _ the _ valley_ of Yizrə ˊʼēl /(Jezreel) .
34 And _ spirit of _ YHWH it _ clothed DOM Gidˊōn and _ he _ gave_ a_ blast on _ horn and _ it _ was_ called_ together[fn ] [fn ] [fn ] ʼAⱱīˊezr after _ him .
35 And _ messengers he _ sent in _ all Mə nashsheh and _ it _ was_ called_ together[fn ] [fn ] [fn ] also it after _ him and _ messengers he _ sent in _ ʼĀshēr and _ in _ Zə ⱱulun and _ in _ Naftālī and _ they _ went_ up to _ meet _ them .
36 And _ Gidˊōn _ he/it _ said to the _ ʼElohīm if (there) _ you will _ be_ delivering by _ my _ of_ hand DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) just _ as you _ have_ spoken .
37 Here I am _ placing DOM the _ fleece_ of (the) _ wool on _ floor if dew it _ will_ be on the _ fleece it _ alone and _ will _ be_ on all _ of the _ earth/land dryness and _ I _ will_ know if/because _ that you _ will_ deliver by _ my _ of_ hand DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) just _ as you _ have_ spoken .
38 And _ he/it _ was so and _ he _ rose_ early from _ the _ next _ day and _ he _ squeezed_ out DOM the _ fleece and _ he _ drained dew from the _ fleece the _ fullness_ of the _ bowl water .
39 And _ Gidˊōn _ he/it _ said to the _ ʼElohīm not anger _ of_ your let _ it_ burn on _ me and _ let _ me_ speak only this _ time let _ me_ put_ to_ the_ test please only the _ time//this _ time by _ fleece let _ it_ be please dryness to the _ fleece it _ alone and _ on all _ of the _ earth/land let _ it_ be dew .
40 And _ god _ he/it _ made so in _ night (the) _ that and _ he/it _ was dryness to the _ fleece it _ alone and _ on all _ of the _ earth/land it _ was dew .
