6 And_ Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) _it_became_low very from_face/in_front_of Midyān and_ the_people_of _they_cried_out of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to YHWH.
7 and_he/it_was if/because the_people_of they_cried_out of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to YHWH on the_causes_of Midyān.
8 And_ YHWH _he_sent a_man a_prophet to the_people_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_he/it_said to/for_them thus YHWH he_says the_god_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) I I_brought_up you(pl) from_Miʦrayim/(Egypt) and_I_brought_out you(pl) from_a_house_of slaves.
9 And_I_delivered you(pl) from_the_hand_of Miʦrayim and_from_the_hand_of all_of those_of_who_oppressed_you(pl) and_I_drove_out them from_before_of_you(pl) and_I_gave to/for_you(pl) DOM land_of_their.
10 And_I_said to/for_you(pl) I am_YHWH god_of_your(pl) not you(pl)_must_fear DOM the_gods_of the_ʼAmorī whom you(pl) are_dwelling in_land_of_their and_not you(pl)_have_listened to_voice_of_my.
11 and_ the_messenger_of _he_came of_YHWH and_he/it_sat_down//remained//lived under the_terebinth which was_in_ˊĀfərāh which belonged_to_Yōʼāsh/(Joash) the_Abi- ezrite and_Gidˊōn his/its_son was_beating_out wheat(s) in_winepress to_hide_it from_face/in_front_of Midyān.
12 And_he_appeared to_him/it the_messenger_of[fn][fn][fn] of_YHWH and_he/it_said to_him/it YHWH is_with_you Oh_mighty_man_of (the)_strength.

27 And_ Gidˊōn _he/it_took ten men of_servants_of_his and_he/it_made just_as he_had_spoken to_him/it YHWH and_he/it_was just_as he_feared DOM the_household_of his/its_father and_DOM the_men_of the_city from_acting by_day and_he/it_made night.
28 And_ the_men_of _they_rose_early the_city in_morning and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE it_had_been_pulled_down the_altar_of (the)_Baˊal and_the_ʼAshērāh_pole which on/upon/above_him/it it_had_been_cut_down and_DOM the_young_bull the_second it_had_been_offered_up on the_altar which_had_been_built.
29 And_they_said each to his/its_neighbour who has_he_done the_thing the_this and_they_investigated and_they_searched and_they_said Gidˊōn the_son_of Yōʼāsh/(Joash) he_has_done the_thing (the)_this.

33 and_all Midyān and_ˊAmālēq and_the_sons the_east they_gathered together and_they_passed_over and_they_encamped in_the_valley_of Yizrəˊʼēl/(Jezreel).
34 And_spirit of_YHWH it_clothed DOM Gidˊōn and_he_gave_a_blast on_horn and_it_was_called_together[fn][fn][fn] ʼAⱱīˊezr after_him.
35 And_messengers he_sent in_all Mənashsheh and_it_was_called_together[fn][fn][fn] also it after_him and_messengers he_sent in_ʼĀshēr and_in_Zəⱱulun and_in_Naftālī and_they_went_up to_meet_them.

38 And_he/it_was so and_he_rose_early from_the_next_day and_he_squeezed_out DOM the_fleece and_he_drained dew from the_fleece the_fullness_of the_bowl water.
39 And_ Gidˊōn _he/it_said to the_ʼElohīm not anger_of_your let_it_burn on_me and_let_me_speak only this_time let_me_put_to_the_test please only the_time//this_time by_fleece let_it_be please dryness to the_fleece it_alone and_on all_of the_earth/land let_it_be dew.
40 And_ god _he/it_made so in_night (the)_that and_he/it_was dryness to the_fleece it_alone and_on all_of the_earth/land it_was dew.
