5 And _ he/it _ wasjust _ as they _ foughtthe _ people_ ofˊAmmōn with Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ wentthe _ elders_ ofGilˊād to _ take/accept/receive DOM Yiftāḩ from _ the _ land_ ofōⱱ .
6 And _ they _ saidto _ Yiftāḩ come and _ you _ will_ becometo/for _ ourselves (into) _ a_ commander so _ that _ we_ may_ fightagainst _ the _ people_ ofˊAmmōn .
7 And _ Yiftāḩ _ he/it _ saidto _ the _ elders_ ofGilˊād not you(pl) did _ you(pl)_ hateme and _ did _ you _ drive_ me_ outfrom _ the _ house_ ofmy _ father_ of_ of and _ why have _ you(pl)_ cometo _ me now just _ as it _ is_ distressto _ you(pl) .
8 And _ they _ saidthe _ elders_ ofGilˊād to Yiftāḩ/(Jephthah) for _ so/thus/hence now we _ have_ returnedto _ you and _ you _ will_ comewith _ us and _ you _ will_ fightagainst _ the _ people_ ofˊAmmōn and _ you _ will_ becometo/for _ ourselves (into) _ chief to _ all/each/any/every the _ inhabitants_ ofGilˊād .
9 And _ Yiftāḩ _ he/it _ saidto the _ elders_ ofGilˊād if are _ bringing_ backyou(pl) me to _ fight against _ the _ people_ ofˊAmmōn and _ he/it _ gaveYHWH them before _ me I I _ will_ becometo/for _ you(pl) (into) _ chief .
10 And _ they _ saidthe _ elders_ ofGilˊād to Yiftāḩ YHWH he _ will_ behearing between _ us if not according _ to _ of_ your _ messageso we _ will_ do11 And _ Yiftāḩ _ he/it _ wentwith the _ elders_ ofGilˊād and _ they _ madethe _ people him over _ them into _ chief and _ into _ commander and _ Yiftāḩ _ he/it _ spokeDOM all _ ofwords/messages _ of_ his to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH in _ Miʦpāh .

15 And _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it thus Yiftāḩ he _ saysnot Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) it _ has_ takenDOM the _ land_ ofMōʼāⱱ and _ DOM the _ land_ ofthe _ people_ ofˊAmmōn .
16 If/because when _ they _ came _ upfrom _ Miʦrayim and _ he/it _ wentYisrāʼēl /(Israel) in _ wilderness to the _ sea_ ofreed[s] and _ it _ cameto _ Qādēsh .
17 And _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ it _ sentmessengers to the _ king_ ofʼEdōm to _ say let _ me_ passplease in _ your _ of_ land and _ not the _ king_ ofhe _ listenedof _ ʼEdōmand _ also to the _ king_ ofMōʼāⱱ it _ sentand _ not he _ was_ willingand _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedat _ Qādēsh .

22 And _ they _ took_ possession_ ofDOM all _ ofthe _ territory_ ofthe _ ʼAmorī from _ the _ ʼArnōn and _ unto the _ Yaboq/(Jabbok) and _ from the _ wilderness and _ unto the _ Yardēn/(Jordan) .

29 and _ it _ becameon Yiftāḩ the _ spirit_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ passed_ throughDOM (the) _ Gilˊād and _ DOM Mə nashsheh and _ he _ passed_ throughDOM Miʦpāh of _ Gilˊādand _ from _ Miʦpāh of _ Gilˊādhe _ passed_ onthe _ people_ ofˊAmmōn .
30 And _ Yiftāḩ _ he _ voweda _ vowto/for _ YHWH and _ he _ saidif really _ (give)you _ will_ giveDOM the _ people_ ofˊAmmōn in _ my _ of_ hand .

33 And _ he _ defeated _ themfrom _ ˊArōˊēr and _ unto you _ come [fn ] [fn ] Minnit twenty citi[es] and _ unto Abel Keramim a _ defeatgreat very and _ the _ people_ of_ they _ were_ subduedof _ ˊAmmōnfrom _ face/in _ front_ ofthe _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
