4 And _ he _ answeredthe _ man the _ Lēviyyiy the _ husband_ ofthe _ woman (the) _ murdered and _ he _ saidto _ (the) _ Giⱱˊāh which belongs _ to_ Binyāmīn I _ cameI and _ my _ of_ concubine to _ spend _ the_ night5 And _ they _ rose_ upon _ me the _ citizens_ of(the) _ Giⱱˊāh and _ they _ surroundedon _ me DOM the _ house night me they _ intendedto _ kill and _ DOM concubine _ of_ my they _ abusedand _ she _ died6 And _ I _ took_ holdon _ my _ of_ concubine and _ I _ cut _ her_ in_ piecesand _ I _ sent _ her_ offin _ all the _ land_ ofthe _ inheritance_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) if/because they _ have_ donewickedness and _ disgraceful _ follyin _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
7 Here of _ you_ of_ all Oh _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) give to/for _ you(pl) a _ messageand _ counsel here .
8 And _ all _ of_ he/it _ rose_ upthe _ people like _ a _ manone to _ say not we _ will_ goanyone to _ his _ of_ tent and _ not we _ will_ departanyone to _ his _ of_ house .
9 And _ now this is _ the_ thing which we _ will_ doto _ Giⱱˊāh on/upon _ it(f) by _ lot .
10 And _ we _ will_ taketen men to _ hundred to _ all/each/any/every the _ tribes_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ one _ hundredto _ thousand and _ one _ thousandto _ thousand to _ take/accept/receive provision[s] for _ people for _ doing to _ their _ coming to _ Geⱱaˊ of _ Binyāmīnaccording _ to _ all_ ofthe _ disgraceful_ folly which it _ didin _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
11 And _ it _ gatheredevery _ of(the) _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) to the _ city like _ a _ manone united .
12 and _ the _ tribes_ of_ they _ sentof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)men in _ all the _ tribes_ ofBinyāmīn to _ say what is _ the_ evil (the) _ this which it _ has_ happenedamong _ you(pl) .
13 And _ now give _ upDOM the _ men sons _ ofworthlessness who are _ in_ Giⱱˊāh so _ that _ we _ may_ put_ them_ to_ deathand _ so _ that_ we_ may_ removeevil from _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ not they _ were_ willing[fn ] [fn ] of _ Binyāmīnto _ listen to _ the _ voice_ oftheir _ brothers_ of_ of the _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
14 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ gatheredof _ Binyāmīnfrom the _ cities to _ (the) _ Giⱱˊāh to _ go _ outfor _ battle with the _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
15 And _ they _ were_ musteredthe _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn in _ the_ day (the) _ that from _ the _ cities twenty and _ six thousand man who _ drewa _ swordapart from _ the _ inhabitants_ of(the) _ Giⱱˊāh who _ they_ were_ musteredseven hundred(s) man chosen .
16 From _ all the _ people the _ this seven hundred(s) man chosen impeded _ ofthe _ hand_ ofhis _ right_ side_ of_ of all _ ofthis was _ slingingwith _ stone to the _ single_ hair and _ not he _ missed17 and _ the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) they _ were_ musteredapart from _ Binyāmīn four hundred(s) thousand man who _ drewa _ swordall _ ofthis was _ man_ ofwar .
18 And _ they _ aroseand _ they _ went_ upBēyt- ʼēl and _ they _ enquiredby _ god and _ the _ people_ of_ they _ saidof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)who will _ he_ go_ upto/for _ ourselves at _ first to _ battle with the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn and _ YHWH _ he/it _ saidYə hūdāh/(Judah) will _ at _ the_ first19 And _ the _ people_ of_ they _ aroseof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)in _ morning and _ they _ encampedon (the) _ Giⱱˊāh .
20 and _ the _ man_ of_ he/it _ went_ outof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)to _ battle with Binyāmīn and _ they _ deployedwith _ them the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) battle to (the) _ Giⱱˊāh .
21 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ went_ outof _ Binyāmīnfrom (the) _ Giⱱˊāh and _ they _ destroyedamong _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) in _ the_ day (the) _ that two and _ twenty thousand man ground _ to _ the 22 And _ it _ showed_ itself_ strongthe _ people the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ repeatedto _ deploy battle in _ place where they _ had_ deployedthere in _ the_ day (the) _ first .
23 And _ the _ people_ of_ they _ went_ upof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ they _ weptto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH until the _ evening and _ they _ enquiredby _ YHWH to _ say will _ I _ repeatto _ draw _ nearfor _ battle with the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn my _ brother/kindred and _ YHWH _ he/it _ saidgo _ upto _ him/it .
24 and _ the _ people_ of_ they _ drew_ nearof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)to the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn in _ the_ day the _ second .
25 And _ Binyāmīn _ he/it _ went_ outto _ meet _ them from (the) _ Giⱱˊāh in _ the_ day the _ second and _ they _ destroyedamong _ the _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) again eight- _ ofteen thousand man ground _ to _ the all _ ofthese were _ drawers_ ofa _ sword26 And _ all _ of_ they _ went_ upthe _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ all the _ people and _ they _ cameBēyt- ʼēl and _ they _ weptand _ they _ livedthere to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH and _ they _ fastedon _ day (the) _ that until the _ evening and _ they _ offered_ upburnt _ offeringsand _ peace _ offeringsto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH 27 And _ the _ people_ of_ they _ enquiredof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)by _ YHWH and _ there the _ box_ ofthe _ covenant_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm in _ the_ days the _ those .
28 And _ Pinḩāş the _ son_ ofʼElˊāzār the _ son_ ofron was _ standingbefore _ it in _ the_ days the _ those to _ say will _ I _ repeatagain to _ go _ outfor _ battle with the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn my _ brother/kindred or will _ I_ ceaseand _ YHWH _ he/it _ saidgo _ upif/because tomorrow I _ will _ give_ himin _ your _ of_ hand .
29 And _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ he/it _ assignedambushers to (the) _ Giⱱˊāh round _ about30 and _ the _ people_ of_ they _ went_ upof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)against the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn in _ the_ day the _ third and _ they _ deployedagainst (the) _ Giⱱˊāh as _ time on _ time .
31 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ went_ outof _ Binyāmīnto _ meet the _ people they _ were_ drawn_ awayfrom the _ city and _ they _ beganto _ strike _ downsome _ of _ the _ peoplefatally _ woundedas _ time on _ time in _ highways which one is _ going_ upBēyt- ʼēl and _ one to _ Giⱱˊāh in _ the_ field about _ thirty man in _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
32 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ saidof _ Binyāmīnare _ defeatedthey before _ us as _ at _ and _ the _ sonsof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)they _ saidlet _ us_ fleeand _ we _ will _ draw_ him_ awayfrom the _ city to the _ highways .
33 And _ all/each/any/every (the) _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) they _ rosefrom _ his _ of_ place and _ they _ deployedat tamar and _ the _ ambusher_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) was _ bursting_ forthfrom _ his _ of_ place from _ the _ open_ place_ ofGeⱱaˊ .
34 And _ they _ camefrom _ before to _ Giⱱˊāh ten _ ofthousand(s) man chosen from _ all Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ the _ battle it _ was_ heavyand _ they not they _ knewif/because _ thatwas _ about_ to_ touchto _ them (the) _ calamity .
35 and _ YHWH _ he _ defeatedDOM Binyāmīn to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ the _ people_ of_ they _ destroyedof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)among _ Binyāmīn in _ the_ day (the) _ that twenty and _ five thousand and _ one _ hundredman all _ ofthese was _ one_ who_ drewa _ sword36 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ sawof _ Binyāmīnif/because _ thatthey _ were_ defeatedand _ the _ man_ of_ they _ gaveof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)place to _ Binyāmīn if/because they _ trustedto the _ ambusher whom they _ had_ setagainst (the) _ Giⱱˊāh .
37 And _ the _ ambusher they _ made_ hasteand _ they _ made_ a_ raidagainst (the) _ Giⱱˊāh and _ he _ marchedthe _ ambusher and _ he _ struck_ downDOM all _ ofthe _ city to _ the _ mouth _ ofthe _ sword38 And _ the _ appointed_ signal which _ it_ belongedto _ the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) with the _ ambusher was _ do_ muchthey _ to _ cause _ to_ go_ upthe _ rising_ ofthe _ smokefrom the _ city .
39 And _ the _ man_ of_ he _ turnedof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)in _ battle and _ Binyāmīn it _ beganto _ strike _ downfatally _ woundedamong _ the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) about _ thirty man if/because they _ saidsurely totally _ (defeated)is _ defeatedit before _ us like _ battle (the) _ first .
40 And _ the _ rising it _ beganto _ go _ upfrom the _ city a _ pillar_ ofsmoke and _ Binyāmīn _ it _ turnedbehind _ it and _ see/lo/see it _ went_ upthe _ entirety_ ofthe _ city to _ the _ heavens .
41 And _ the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) he _ turnedand _ the _ man_ of_ he _ was_ terrifiedof _ Binyāmīnif/because he _ sawif/because _ thatit _ had_ touchedon/upon/above _ him/it (the) _ calamity .
42 And _ they _ turnedto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) to the _ way_ ofthe _ wildernessand _ the _ battle it _ overtook _ himand _ which were _ from_ the _ cities were _ destroyinghim in _ the _ midst_ of_ of _ him43 They _ surroundedDOM Binyāmīn they _ pursued _ himrest they _ trod _ him_ downto opposite (the) _ Giⱱˊāh from _ the _ rising _ ofthe _ sun44 And _ they _ fellof _ Binyāmīn eight- teen thousand man DOM all _ ofthese were _ men_ ofstrength .
45 And _ they _ turnedand _ they _ fledto _ the _ wilderness to the _ rock_ of(the) _ Rimmōn and _ they _ gleaned _ himin _ highways five _ ofthousand(s) man and _ they _ pursued_ closelyafter _ him to Gidˊom and _ they _ struck_ downfrom _ him/it two _ thousandman .
46 And _ all _ of_ he/it _ wasthose _ who _ fellof _ Binyāmīn were _ twentyand _ five thousand man a _ swordwho _ drewin _ the_ day (the) _ that DOM all _ ofthese were _ men_ ofstrength .
47 And _ they _ turnedand _ they _ fledto _ the _ wilderness to the _ rock_ of(the) _ Rimmōn six hundred(s) man and _ they _ livedat _ the _ rock_ ofRimmōn four months .
48 And _ the _ man_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) they _ turned_ backagainst the _ descendants_ ofBinyāmīn and _ they _ struck _ them_ downto _ the _ mouth _ ofthe _ swordfrom _ a _ city_ ofsoundness unto animal unto every _ of(the) _ thing _ which _ was_ foundalso all _ ofthe _ cities which _ were _ foundthey _ sentin _ fire .
