Literal Version

63Who’s that coming from Edom,[ref]

coming from Botsrah dressed in crimson?

This one dressed like an honoured person,

marching in the greatness of his strength?

It’s me, Yahweh, proclaiming what’s right—powerful to rescue.

2What’s that red on your clothes?

Your clothes look like you’be been treading grapes in a winepress?

3I’ve trodden in the winepress alone,

≈ and there wasn’t anyone from the nations with me.

I trod them in my anger,

≈ and trampled them in my fury.[ref]

and their blood is splattered onto my clothes.[ref]

≈ All my clothes are stained

4because I had decided that this was the day of vengeance,

and the year had come for me to buy my people’s freedom.

5I looked and there wasn’t anyone to help,[ref]

≈ and I was appalled that no one assisted,

but my power gave me victory,

≈ and my rage sustained me.

6I trod down peoples in my anger,

and in my rage, I made them drunk,

and I poured their blood out on the ground.

63who this is_coming from_ʼEdōm red_of garments from_Bāʦərāh this_one is_honoured in_clothing_of_his he_is_bending in_the_greatness_of his_strength_of_his I I_am_speaking in_righteousness great to_save.
2Why does_redness belong_to_clothing_of_your and_are_garments_of_your like_one_who_treads in_a_winepress.
3the_winepress I_have_trodden I_alone and_from_peoples there_was_not anyone with_me and_I_trod_them in_anger_of_my and_I_trampled_them in_rage_of_my juice_of_their and_it_spattered on garments_of_my and_all clothes_of_my I_have_defiled.
4If/because a_day_of vengeance was_in_heart_of_my and_the_year_of my_redemption(s)_of_my it_had_come.
5And_I_looked and_there_was_not a_helper and_I_was_appalled and_there_was_not a_sustainer and_it_gave_victory to_me arm_of_my and_rage_of_my it it_sustained_me.
6And_I_trod_down peoples in_anger_of_my and_I_made_them_drunk in_rage_of_my and_I_brought_down to_ground juice_of_their.

7I’ll tell others about Yahweh’s loyal commitment—

praising him for his treatment of us.

Yes, for his amazing goodness to Yisrael’s descendants,

which he’s shown us according to his mercy,

and according to his incredible loyal commitment,

8and he said, “They’re definitely my people

children who wouldn’t be disloyal,”

and he became their rescuer.

9In all their suffering, he also suffered,

and his messenger went ahead of him to rescue them.

In his love and mercy, he paid the price for their freedom,

through that era, he lifted them up and carried them.

10However, they rebelled and grieved his holy spirit,

→ so he turned into their enemy who fought against them.

11Then his people recalled that era with Mosheh (Moses),

Where is the one who brought them up from the sea

along with those shepherds of his flock?

Where is the one who sent his holy spirit to be among them,

12who transferred his glorious power to Mosheh,

who then divided the sea in front of them[ref]

to gain himself a lasting reputation,

13who led them through the depths?

Like a horse in the wilderness, they didn’t stumble.

14Like cattle going down a valley, Yahweh’s spirit gave them peace,

so you led your people to give yourself an incredible reputation.

7the_covenant_loyalti(es)_of YHWH I_will_bring_to_remembrance the_praises_of YHWH as_on all that he_has_dealt_out_to_us YHWH and_the_greatness_of goodness to_the_house_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) which he_has_dealt_out_to_them according_to_of_his_compassion(s) and_according_to_the_greatness_of his_covenant_loyalti(es)_of_his.
8And_he/it_said surely people_of_are_my they children who_not they_will_deal_falsely and_he/it_was to/for_them (into)_a_deliverer.
9In_all distress_of_their wwww[fn] distress and_the_messenger_of his/its_faces/face it_saved_them in_love_of_his and_in_mercy_of_his he he_redeemed_them and_he_lifted_them_up and_he_carried_them all_of the_days_of antiquity.
10And_they they_rebelled and_they_grieved DOM the_spirit_of his_holiness_of_his and_he_changed_himself to/for_them into_an_enemy he he_fought against_them.
11And_it_remembered the_days_of antiquity Mosheh people_of_his where is_the_one_of_who_brought_them_up from_the_sea with the_shepherds_of his/its_flock_of_sheep/goats where is_the_one_who_put in_midst_of_its DOM the_spirit_of his_holiness_of_his.
12who_caused_to_go to_the_right_hand_of Mosheh the_arm_of his_splendour_of_his who_split_open the_waters from_their_face/front for_doing to_him/it a_name_of perpetuity.
13who_caused_of_them_to_walk in_deeps like_horse in_wilderness not they_stumbled.
14Like_livestock which_in_valley it_goes_down the_spirit_of YHWH it_gave_it_rest so you_led people_of_your for_doing to/for_yourself(m) a_name_of splendour.

63:15The mercy

15Look from heaven

≈ and see from your wonderful, holy residence.

Where’s your actions full of zeal and power?

Your inner motivation and your compassion have restrained themselves from me.

16Yes, you are our father, although Avraham doesn’t know us

≈ and Yisrael doesn’t recognise us.

You, Yahweh, are our father

and the one who bought us our freedom long ago.

17Yahweh, why do you make us wander from your paths—

hardening our hearts so we don’t want to obey you.

Return for your servants’ sake—

the tribes who are your inheritance.

18For a while, your holy people possessed your sanctuary.

Now our enemies have trampled over your sacred place.

19We’ve become like those who you never ruled over—

≈ like those who never called to you for help.

15Look from_heaven and_see from_the_lofty_residence_of your_holiness_of_your and_splendour_of_your where zeal_of_are_your and_your(pl)_mighty_of_deeds the_tumult_of your(pl)_inward_parts_of_your and_compassion(s)_of_your to_me they_have_restrained_themselves.
16If/because you father_of_are_our if/because ʼAⱱrāhām not he_knows_us and_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) not he_acknowledges_us you Oh_YHWH father_of_are_our is_our_of_redeemer from_long_ago/eternity name_of_your.
17To/for_what do_you(pl)_make_us_wander Oh_YHWH from_ways_of_your do_you_harden heart_of_our from_fear_of_of_you return for_the_sake_of your_servants the_tribes_of your_inheritance_of_your.
18For_(the)_time the_people_of they_possessed your_holiness_of_your foes_of_our they_have_trodden_down sanctuary_of_your.
19We_have_been from_long_ago/eternity those_whom_not you_ruled over_them those_whom_not it_was_called name_of_your on_them[fn] if you_tore the_heavens you_came_down from_before_of_you mountains they_shook.
