OET (OET-RV) The merchants of the country heard of their fame, and took silver and gold in large quantities, and fetters,[fn] and came into the camp to take the children of Israel for slaves. Forces of Syria and of the land of the Philistines[fn] joined with them.
BrLXX Καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἔμποροι τῆς χώρας τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἔλαβον ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον πολὺ σφόδρα καὶ παῖδας, καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν τοῦ λαβεῖν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ εἰς παῖδας· καὶ προσετέθησαν πρὸς αὐτοὺς δύναμις Συρίας καὶ γῆς ἀλλοφύλων.
(Kai aʸkousan hoi emporoi taʸs ⱪōras to onoma autōn, kai elabon argurion kai ⱪrusion polu sfodra kai paidas, kai aʸlthon eis taʸn parembolaʸn tou labein tous huious Israaʸl eis paidas; kai prosetethaʸsan pros autous dunamis Surias kai gaʸs allofulōn. )
BrTr And the merchants of the country, hearing the fame of them, took silver and gold very much, with servants, and came into the camp to buy the children of Israel for slaves: a power also of Syria and of the land of the Philistines joined themselves unto them.
