BrLXXΚαὶ εἶδεν Ἰούδας καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐπληθύνθη τὰ κακὰ, καὶ αἱ δυνάμεις παρεμβάλλουσιν ἐν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπέγνωσαν τοὺς λόγους τοῦ βασιλέως οὓς ἐνετείλατο ποιῆσαι τῷ λαῷ εἰς ἀπώλειαν καὶ συντέλειαν·
   (Kai eiden Youdas kai hoi adelfoi autou hoti eplaʸthunthaʸ ta kaka, kai hai dunameis paremballousin en tois horiois autōn; kai epegnōsan tous logous tou basileōs hous eneteilato poiaʸsai tōi laōi eis apōleian kai sunteleian; )

WEBBEJudas and his kindred saw that evils were multiplied, and that the forces were encamping in their borders. They learnt about the king’s words which he had commanded, to destroy the people and make an end of them.
