OET (OET-RV) Judas heard of the fame of the Romans, that they are valiant men, and have pleasure in all who join themselves to them, and make friends with all who come to them,
BrLXX Καὶ ἤκουσεν Ἰούδας τὸ ὄνομα τῶν Ῥωμαίων, ὅτι εἰσὶ δυνατοὶ ἰσχύϊ· καὶ αὐτοὶ εὐδοκοῦσιν ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς προστιθεμένοις αὐτοῖς, καὶ ὅσοι ἂν προσέλθωσιν αὐτοῖς, ἱστῶσιν αὐτοῖς φιλίαν, καὶ ὅτι εἰσὶ δυνατοὶ ἰσχύϊ·
(Kai aʸkousen Youdas to onoma tōn Ɽōmaiōn, hoti eisi dunatoi isⱪui; kai autoi eudokousin en pasi tois prostithemenois autois, kai hosoi an proselthōsin autois, histōsin autois filian, kai hoti eisi dunatoi isⱪui; )
BrTr Now Judas had heard of the fame of the Romans, that they were mighty and valiant men, and such as would lovingly accept all that joined themselves unto them, and make a league of amity with all that came unto them;
