BrLXXὅτι αὐτὸς μαστιγοῖ καὶ ἐλεεῖ, κατάγει εἰς ᾅδην καὶ ἀνάγει, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὃς ἐκφεύξεται τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ.
   (hoti autos mastigoi kai eleʼei, katagei eis hadaʸn kai anagei, kai ouk estin hos ekfeuxetai taʸn ⱪeira autou. )

BrTrFor he doth scourge, and hath mercy: he leadeth down to hell, and bringeth up again: neither is there any that can avoid his hand.


WEBBEFor he scourges, and shows mercy.
