1.12 Tunc indignatus Nabuchodonosor. Diabolus propria superbia excæcatus, arrogat sibi imperium totius orbis, contendens ut abstractos a cultu pietatis, consortes suæ faciat impietatis: qui de potentia regni exsultans, ait: Ascendam in cœlum, et ponam sedem meam in Aquilonem, et similis milis ero Altissimo. Et in Evangelio: Hæc omnia tibi dabo, si cadens adoraveris me.
