BrLXXΚαὶ τὸν μὲν τῆς ὅλης κακίας αἴτιον Μενέλαον ἀπέλυσε τῶν κατηγορημάτων, τοῖς δὲ ταλαιπώροις, οἵτινες εἰ καὶ ἐπὶ Σκυθῶν ἔλεγον, ἀπελύθησαν ἄν ἀκατάγνωστοι, τούτοις θάνατον ἐπέκρινε.
   (Kai ton men taʸs holaʸs kakias aition Menelaon apeluse tōn kataʸgoraʸmatōn, tois de talaipōrois, hoitines ei kai epi Skuthōn elegon, apeluthaʸsan an akatagnōstoi, toutois thanaton epekrine. )

BrTrinsomuch that he discharged Menelaus from the accusations, who notwithstanding was cause of all the mischief: and those poor men, who, if they had told their cause, yea, before the Scythians, should have been judged innocent, them he condemned to death.
