BrLXXΚαὶ τὰ κείμενα τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις φιλάνθρωπα βασιλικὰ διὰ Ἰωάννου τοῦ πατρὸς Εὐπολέμου, τοῦ ποιησαμένου τὴν πρεσβείαν ὑπὲρ φιλίας καὶ συμμαχίας πρὸς τοὺς Ῥωμαίους, παρώσατο· καὶ τὰς μὲν νομίμους καταλύων πολιτείας, παρανόμους ἐθισμοὺς ἐκαίνιζεν.
   (Kai ta keimena tois Youdaiois filanthrōpa basilika dia Yōannou tou patros Eupolemou, tou poiaʸsamenou taʸn presbeian huper filias kai summaⱪias pros tous Ɽōmaious, parōsato; kai tas men nomimous kataluōn politeias, paranomous ethismous ekainizen. )

BrTrAnd the royal privileges granted of special favour to the Jews by the means of John the father of Eupolemus, who went ambassador to Rome for amity and aid, he took away; and putting down the governments which were according to the law, he brought up new customs against the law:
