uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns

וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ וּשְׁחָט֕וֹ פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד

and,lay his/its=hand on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in head offering_of,his and,slaughter,it entrance_of tent/house meeting

Here and throughout this chapter, the pronoun he refers to the worshiper and not to the priest. If it would be helpful in your language, consider making this explicit. Alternate translation: [And the one offering the sacrifice shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and that individual shall slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting]

Note 2 topic: translate-symaction

וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ קָרְבָּנ֔וֹ

and,lay his/its=hand on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in head offering_of,his

This is a symbolic action that identifies the person with the animal he is sacrificing as an offering. The implication seems to be that the person is ritually placing his sins on the sacrificial animal so that God will forgive the sins when the animal is sacrificed. If it would be helpful to your readers, consider making this explicit. Alternate translation: [And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering in order to place his sins on the animal, that they may be removed from him]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

בְּנֵי֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים

sons_of ʼAhₐron's the,priests

See how you translated the similar expression in [1:5](../01/05.md). Alternate translation: [the descendants of Aaron, who are priests]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

3:1-17 The peace offering (Hebrew shelem) expressed worship through fellowship with the Lord and with others. The Hebrew word is from the same root as shalom, which speaks of wholeness, well-being, harmony, and peace. Shalom means more than a cessation of hostilities between God and the worshiper; it implies a bond of harmonious fellowship. The peace offering was therefore a shared meal celebrating fellowship with God and others (cp. Exod 18:12; 24:9-11; 1 Sam 9:15-24). It could be presented as an expression of thanks (Lev 7:12-15), as a voluntary offering, or in fulfillment of a vow (7:16-18; 22:21). Peace offerings often followed whole burnt offerings (e.g., 1 Kgs 9:25), showing that fellowship with God follows atonement. When we have experienced atonement through Christ, we are able to be at peace with God and with each other (see Acts 2:42; 10:36; Rom 5:1; 1 Cor 10:16; 11:17-34; 2 Cor 5:18-21).
