uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

ק֣וֹל אָלָ֔ה

sound/voice public_adjuration

The sound of a curse is an idiom that refers to a public call for someone who can bear witness to a crime to come forward. The call includes a curse on any person who was a witness to the crime but refuses to testify about it. (See the parallel text in [Proverbs 29:24](../../pro/29/24.md)) Alternate translation: [the call for a witness to swear to what he knows about a crime]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

וְנָשָׂ֥א עֲוֺנֽוֹ

(Some words not found in UHB: and,anyone that/for/because/then/when sins and,it_will_hear sound/voice public_adjuration and=he witness or seen or learned if not speak_up and,he_will_bear iniquity_of,his )

The expression he shall bear his iniquity refers to being responsible to make restitution for the guilt acquired by an individual’s wrongdoing, whether intentional or unintentional. If your language has a similar idiom, consider using it here. If not, consider stating the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he must make a guilt offering]
