TSNTyndale Study Notes:

14:1 Herod Antipas’s official title was tetrarch (ruler of a fourth part of a kingdom) of Galilee and Perea (4 BCAD 39; see 2:19-22). Jesus referred to Antipas as “that fox” (Luke 13:32), and John the Baptist justly condemned him for adultery (Matt 14:3-12; Luke 3:19-20).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-newevent

ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ

at that ¬the time

Here, the phrase At that time introduces the next major event in the story. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a word or phrase that introduces the next event. Alternate translation: “While all those things were happening” or “During this period”
