OET (OET-RV) That’s why I considered it necessary to encourage the brothers to go ahead to you all there so they could prearrange the gift that you’d previously promised so that it would be ready as a blessing and not appear as our greediness.
OET-LV Therefore necessary I_considered it to_exhort the brothers, in_order_that they_may_go_ahead to you_all and they_may_prearrange the having_previously_promised blessing of_you_all, this ready to_be thus as a_blessing, and not as greediness.

ULT So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers that they should go to you beforehand and prepare in advance this promised blessing of yours, to be ready in this way as a blessing and not as something forced.
UST Because of that, I decided that I needed to ask these three fellow believers to visit you before I do and help you with what you said you would give. That way, you will have already prepared what you are giving, and you will offer it because you want to and not because we are making you do it.
BSB So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you beforehand and make arrangements for the bountiful gift you had promised. This way, your gift will be prepared generously and not begrudgingly.
BLB Therefore I esteemed it necessary to exhort the brothers that they should go before unto you and should complete beforehand your foreannounced blessing, thus this to be ready as a blessing, and not as covetousness.
AICNT Therefore, I considered it necessary to urge the brothers to go ahead to you and arrange in advance the generous gift you have {promised beforehand},[fn] so that it may be ready as a generous gift and not as an act of greed.

OEB Therefore I think it necessary to beg the friends to go to you in advance, and to complete the arrangements for the gift, which you have already promised, so that it may be ready, as a gift, before I come, and not look as if it were being given under pressure.
WEBBE I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brothers that they would go before to you and arrange ahead of time the generous gift that you promised before, that the same might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not of greediness.
WMBB (Same as above)

LSV Therefore I thought [it] necessary to exhort the brothers, that they may go before to you, and may make up before your formerly announced blessing, that this be ready, as a blessing, and not as covetousness.
FBV That's why I decided I should ask these brothers to visit you in advance, and complete the arrangements to collect this offering, so that it would be ready as a gift, and not as something demanded.
TCNT So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance your previously [fn]announced blessing, so that this gift of yours may be ready as a blessing and not as something you feel forced to do.
9:5 announced ¦ promised CT
T4T So that is why I felt that it was necessary to urge these three believers to go and visit you before I come. In that way, they would be able to help you finish collecting the generous gift [EUP] that had been promised by you {you had said you would give}. If you do that, not only will the gift be ready by the time that we arrive, but everyone will see that you have given because you really want to give, and not because anyone has forced you to give.
LEB Therefore I considered it necessary to urge the brothers that they should go on ahead to you and make arrangements in advance for your generous gift that was promised previously, so this would be prepared as a generous gift and not as grudgingly granted.
BBE So it seemed to me wise for the brothers to go before, and see that the amount which you had undertaken to give was ready, so that it might be a cause for praise, and not as if we were making profit out of you.

9:1-5 Two motives reinforce the spirit of love in giving: (1) to emulate the Macedonians, who in their poverty had been forthcoming in their generosity (9:2); and (2) not to shame Paul or themselves, since he had boasted about the Corinthians’ generosity to the Macedonians (9:3-5). To ensure the timely gathering of the collection at Corinth, Paul would send the delegates (8:16-24) in advance to make sure the gift you promised is ready.
Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result
οὖν
therefore
Here, the word So introduces an inference or conclusion from what Paul said in the previous verse (See: 9:5). If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a word or phrase that introduces an inference or conclusion. Alternate translation: [Therefore,] or [So then,]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς
the brothers
Here, the word brothers refers to Titus and the two fellow believers who travel with him. See how you translated this word in 9:3. Alternate translation: [these brothers] or [the three brothers I have mentioned]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς
the brothers
Paul is using the term brothers to mean people who share the same faith. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the believers] or [the Christians]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / go
προέλθωσιν εἰς ὑμᾶς
˱they˲_˓may˒_go_ahead to you_all
In a context such as this, your language might say “come” instead of go. Alternate translation: [they should come to you beforehand]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
τὴν προεπηγγελμένην εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν
the ˓having˒_previously_promised blessing ˱of˲_you_all
If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [blessing that you promised]
Note 6 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
τὴν προεπηγγελμένην εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν, ταύτην
the ˓having˒_previously_promised blessing ˱of˲_you_all this
Here Paul uses the word blessing to refer to the money that the Corinthians said that they would contribute to Paul’s collection. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make the idea more explicit. Alternate translation: [this blessing of money that you promised] or [this promised gift of yours]
Note 7 topic: figures-of-speech / extrainfo
οὕτως ὡς
thus as
Here Paul uses both the phrase in this way and the word as to introduce the two ways in which the Corinthians could give to the collection. Your language may only use one form to introduce this information. If so, you could use just one form here. Alternate translation: [as]
Note 8 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
μὴ ὡς πλεονεξίαν
not as greediness
If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [not as something that we forced you to give]
