Here, Thanks be to God is an exclamatory phrase that communicates Paul’s thankfulness. Use an exclamation form that is natural in your language for communicating thanks. See how you translated the similar phrase in 8:16. Alternate translation: “we give thanks to God”

for the indescribable ˱of˲_him gift
Here Paul does not clarify exactly what this gift is. He could mean the way in which the Corinthians give, which leads to a close connection between believers and glory to God. He could mean Jesus himself, whom God gave. In this case, use a general expression for a gift, since Paul does not clarify exactly what gift he means.
