Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed as a tool for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

ClVgex quo omnis paternitas in cælis et in terra nominatur,[fn]
   (from where everyone fathernitas in/into/on the_heavens and in/into/on earth/land namesur, )

3.15 Paternitas, etc.

3.15 Paternitas, etc. Neither angelus, but_not human vere it_is father as God who it_is father of_all, creatione, and faithful recreatione, which adoptavit in/into/on children. Or namesur, id it_is namesbilis it_is. From that because who it_is father of_all, and angeli in/into/on cœlo, and mans in/into/on earth/land acceperunt as fathers others vocarent. And note that Christ of_God unigenitus through naturam, adoptionis beneficio father himself to_be means saying, Son, they_are_released to_you sins tua Matth. 2.. Similarly/Likewise and Spirit holy, through which just adoptantur in/into/on children. Man however it_is_said father or natura, or authoritate exempli, or ratione beneficii.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

3:14-21 Paul closes this section (1:3–3:21) with a second prayer for his readers. The first (1:15-23) was for their spiritual understanding, the second (3:14-21) is for their spiritual growth and empowerment.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

of whom every family in ˓the˒_heavens and on earth ˓is_being˒_named

The act of naming here probably also represents the act of creating. Alternate translation: [who created and named every family in heaven and on earth]
