BrLXX Καὶ ἤκουσεν Ἀπολλώνιος, καὶ παρενέβαλε τρισχιλίαν ἵππον, καὶ δύναμιν πολλήν· καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς Ἄζωτον ὡς διοδεύων, καὶ ἅμα προῆγεν εἰς τὸ πεδίον, διὰ τὸ ἔχειν αὐτὸν πλῆθος ἵππου καὶ πεποιθέναι ἐπʼ αὐτῇ.
(Kai aʸkousen Apollōnios, kai parenebale trisⱪilian hippon, kai dunamin pollaʸn; kai eporeuthaʸ eis Azōton hōs diodeuōn, kai hama proaʸgen eis to pedion, dia to eⱪein auton plaʸthos hippou kai pepoithenai epʼ autaʸ. )
BrTr Whereof when Apollonius heard, he took three thousand horsemen, with a great host of footmen, and went to Azotus as one that journeyed, and therewithal drew him forth into the plain, because he had a great number of horsemen, in whom he put his trust.
