BrLXX καὶ εἶπεν, οἴμοι, ἱνατί τοῦτο ἐγεννήθην ἰδεῖν τὸ σύντριμμα τοῦ λαοῦ μου, καὶ τὸ σύντριμμα τῆς πόλεως τῆς ἁγίας, καὶ καθίσαι ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ δοθῆναι αὐτὴν ἐν χειρὶ ἐχθρῶν, καὶ τὸ ἁγίασμα ἐν χειρὶ ἀλλοτρίων;
(kai eipen, oimoi, hinati touto egennaʸthaʸn idein to suntrimma tou laou mou, kai to suntrimma taʸs poleōs taʸs hagias, kai kathisai ekei en tōi dothaʸnai autaʸn en ⱪeiri eⱪthrōn, kai to hagiasma en ⱪeiri allotriōn; )
BrTr he said, Woe is me! wherefore was I born to see this misery of my people, and of the holy city, and to dwell there, when it was delivered into the hand of the enemy, and the sanctuary into the hand of strangers?
WEBBE and he said, “Woe is me! Why was I born to see the destruction of my people and the destruction of the holy city, and to dwell there when it was given into the hand of the enemy, the sanctuary into the hand of foreigners?
