OET (OET-RV) They came as far as Ephron, and this same city was large and very strong. It was on the road where they were going. They couldn’t turn away from it on the right hand or on the left, but needed to pass through the middle of it.
BrLXX Καὶ ἦλθον ἕως Ἐφρών· καὶ αὕτη ἡ πόλις μεγάλη ἐπὶ τῆς εἰσόδου ὀχυρὰ σφόδρα· οὐκ ἦν ἐκκλῖναι ἀπʼ αὐτῆς δεξιὰν ἢ ἀριστερὰν, ἀλλʼ ἢ διὰ μέσου αὐτῆς πορεύεσθαι.
(Kai aʸlthon heōs Efrōn; kai hautaʸ haʸ polis megalaʸ epi taʸs eisodou oⱪura sfodra; ouk aʸn ekklinai apʼ autaʸs dexian aʸ aristeran, allʼ aʸ dia mesou autaʸs poreuesthai. )
BrTr Now when they came unto Ephron (this was a great city in the way as they should go, very well fortified) they could not turn from it, either on the right hand or the left, but must needs pass through the midst of it.
WEBBE They came as far as Ephron, and this same city was large and very strong. It was on the road where they were going. They couldn’t turn away from it on the right hand or on the left, but needed to pass through the middle of it.
DRA And they came as far as Ephron: now this was a great city situate in the way, strongly fortified, and there was no means to turn from it on the right hand or on the left, but the way was through the midst of it.
