BrLXXΚαὶ ἐπέγνω ἡ παρεμβολὴ Τιμοθέου ὅτι Μακκαβαῖός ἐστι, καὶ ἔφυγον ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτοὺς πληγὴν μεγάλην, καὶ ἔπεσον ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ εἰς ὀκτακισχιλίους ἄνδρας.
   (Kai epegnō haʸ parembolaʸ Timotheou hoti Makkabaios esti, kai efugon apo prosōpou autou, kai epataxen autous plaʸgaʸn megalaʸn, kai epeson ex autōn en ekeinaʸ taʸ haʸmera eis oktakisⱪilious andras. )

BrTrThen the host of Timotheus, knowing that it was Maccabeus, fled from him: wherefore he smote them with a great slaughter; so that there were killed of them that day about eight thousand men.


WEBBEAnd the army of Timotheus perceived that it was Maccabaeus, and they fled from before him. He struck them with a great slaughter. About eight thousand men of them fell on that day.
