3 And_he/it _went _out to_him/it ʼElyāqīm the _son _of Ḩilqiy^yāh who was_over the_house and_Sheⱱnāʼ the_secretary and_Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _son _of ʼĀşāf the_recorder.

4 And_he/it _said to_them the_Rab- shaqeh say please to Ḩizqiy^yāh thus he _says the_king (the)_great the _king _of ʼAshshūr what is_the_trust the_this which you _trust.

5 I _say only a _message _of lips is_a _plan and_strength for_war now on whom do _you _rely (cmp) you _have _rebelled against_me.

6 HERE you _rely on the _staff _of (the)_reed (the)_crushed the_this on Miʦrayim/(Egypt) which he _will _support _himself anyone on/upon/above_him/it and_it _will _go in_palm _of_his and_it_will _pierce _it is_thus Parˊoh the _king _of Miʦrayim to/from_all/each/any/every those_who_rely on/upon/above_him/it.

7 And_because/when you _will _say to_me to YHWH god _of_our we _trust am_not is_he the_one_whom he _has _removed Ḩizqiy^yāh DOM places _of_his _high and_DOM altars _of_his and_he/it _said to_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_to_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before the_altar the_this you(pl)_will _bow _down.

8 And_now make _a _wager please with my_master the_king of _ʼAshshūr and_let _me _give to/for_yourself(m) two _thousand horses if you _will _be _able to_put to/for_yourself(m) riders on_them.

9 And_how will _you _turn _back DOM the _face _of the _governor _of (of)_one of _the _servants _of my_master (the)_little and_you _have _been _relying to/for_yourself(m) on Miʦrayim for_chariotry and_for_horsemen.

10 And_now (from)_without YHWH have _I _come _up on the_earth/land (the)_this to_destroy_it YHWH he _said to_me go _up against the_earth/land (the)_this and_destroy_it.

11 And_ ʼElyāqīm _he/it _said and_Sheⱱnāʼ and_Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) to the_Rab- shaqeh speak please to your_servants ʼArāmīt if/because are_understanding we and_do _not speak to_us Yəhūdī/(Judean) in_the _ears _of the _people which is_on the_wall.

12 And_ the_Rab- _he/it _said shaqeh to master(s)_of_your and_to_you(ms) has_he _sent _me my_master to_speak DOM the_words/messages the_these not to the_men who_are_sitting on the_wall to_eat DOM excrement _of_their _own[fn] and_to_drink DOM their _feet _of_their[fn] with_you(pl).

13 And_ the_Rab- _he _stood shaqeh and_he/it _called with_a _voice great Yəhūdī/(Judean) and_he/it _said hear DOM the _words/messages _of the_king (the)_great the _king _of ʼAshshūr.

14 Thus he _says the_king not let _him _deceive to/for_you(pl) Ḩizqiy^yāh if/because not he _will _be _able to_deliver you(pl).

15 And_not Ḩizqiy^yāh let _him _make _trust you(pl) to YHWH to_say certainly _(deliver) he_will _deliver _us YHWH not it _will _be _given the_city (the)_this in_the _hand _of the _king _of ʼAshshūr.

16 Do _not listen to Ḩizqiy^yāh if/because thus he _says the_king of _ʼAshshūr make with_me a _blessing and_come _out to_me and_eat everyone vine _of_his _own and_everyone fig _tree _of_his _own and_drink everyone the _water _of his _own _cistern _of_his.

17 Until come_I and_I _will _take you(pl) to a _land like_your _own _of_land a _land _of grain and_new _wine a _land _of bread and_vineyards.

18 Lest Ḩizqiy^yāh he _should _mislead you(pl) to_say YHWH he_will _deliver _us have_they _delivered the _gods _of the_nations anyone DOM land _of_its from_the _hand _of the _king _of ʼAshshūr.

19 Where were_the _gods _of Ḩₐmāt and_ʼArpād where were_the _gods _of Şəfarvayim and_because/when they _have _delivered DOM Shomrōn from_hand _of_my.

20 Who in_all the _gods _of the _lands the_these are_those_which they _have _delivered DOM land _of_their from_hand _of_my (cmp) YHWH he _will _deliver DOM Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) from_hand _of_my.

21 And_they _kept _silent and_not they _answered DOM_him/it anything if/because was_the _command _of the_king it to_say not you(pl)_must _answer _him.
