36 and _ he/it _ was in/on/at/with _ four _ of teen year to/for _ the _ king Ḩizqiyyāh he _ came_ up Şanḩērīⱱ the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr on all the _ cities of _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) the _ fortified and _ captured _ them .
2 And _ sent the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr DOM [the] _ Rab- shaqeh from _ Lākīsh Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) _ at to the _ king Ḩizqiyyāh in/on/at/with _ army massive and _ stood in/on/at/with _ conduit the _ pool the _ upper in/on/at/with _ highway of _ [the]_ field of _ [the]_ washer .
3 And _ he/it _ went_ out to _ him/it ʼElyāqīm the _ son of _ Ḩilqiyyāh who [was] _ over the _ palace and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son of _ ʼĀşāf the _ recorder .
4 And _ he/it _ said to _ them [the] _ Rab- shaqeh say please to Ḩizqiyyāh thus he _ says the _ king the _ great the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr what the _ confidence the _ this which you _ trust .
5 I _ say only a _ word of _ lips [is] _ a_ plan and _ strength for _ the_ war now on whom do _ you_ rely (cmp) you _ have_ rebelled in/on/at/with _ me .
6 Here you _ rely on the _ staff the _ reed the _ broken the _ this on Miʦrayim/(Egypt) which he _ will_ support_ himself anyone on/upon/above _ him/it and _ pierce in/on/at/with _ hand _ his and _ pierce _ it [is] _ thus Farˊoh the _ king of _ Miʦrayim to/from _ all/each/any/every the _ rely on/upon/above _ him/it .
7 And _ because/when you _ will_ say to _ me to YHWH god _ our we _ trust am _ not [is] _ he [the _ one]_ whom he _ has_ removed Ḩizqiyyāh DOM high _ places_ him and _ DOM altars _ whose and _ he/it _ said to _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ to _ Yə rūshālayim to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/before the _ altar the _ this you _ all_ will_ bow_ down .
8 And _ now make _ a_ wager please with my _ master the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr and _ give to/for _ yourself(m) two _ thousand horses if you _ will_ be_ able to _ set to/for _ yourself(m) riders on _ them .
9 And _ how will _ you_ turn_ back DOM the _ face of _ the_ governor (of) _ one of _ the_ servants my _ master the _ least and _ rely to/for _ yourself(m) on Miʦrayim for _ chariots and _ for _ horsemen .
10 And _ now from _ without YHWH have _ I_ come_ up on the _ earth/land the _ this to _ destroy _ it YHWH he _ said to _ me go _ up against the _ earth/land the _ this and _ destroy _ it .
11 And _ he/it _ said ʼElyāqīm and _ Sheⱱnāʼ and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) to [the] _ Rab- shaqeh speak please to your _ servants Aramaic if/because [are] _ understanding we and _ not speak to _ us Yə hūdī/(Judean) in/on/at/with _ hearing the _ people which [is] _ on the _ wall .
12 And _ he/it _ said [the] _ Rab- shaqeh to master _ your and _ to _ you(ms) sent _ me my _ master to _ speak DOM the _ words the _ these not to the _ men the _ sitting on the _ wall to _ eat DOM dung _ their _ own[fn ] and _ to _ drink DOM feet _ of_ their _ own[fn ] with _ you _ all .
13 And _ stood [the] _ Rab- shaqeh and _ he/it _ called in/on/at/with _ voice great Yə hūdī/(Judean) and _ he/it _ said hear DOM the _ words the _ king the _ great the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr .
14 Thus he _ says the _ king not let _ him_ deceive to/for _ you _ all Ḩizqiyyāh if/because not he _ will_ be_ able to _ deliver DOM _ you _ all .
15 And _ not let _ him_ make_ trust DOM _ you _ all Ḩizqiyyāh to YHWH to _ say certainly _ (deliver) he _ will_ deliver_ us YHWH not it _ will_ be_ given the _ city the _ this in/on/at/with _ hand of _ the_ king of _ ʼAshshūr .
16 Do _ not listen to Ḩizqiyyāh if/because thus he _ says the _ king of _ ʼAshshūr make with _ me a _ blessing and _ come _ out to _ me and _ eat everyone vine _ his _ own and _ each fig _ tree_ his and _ drink everyone the _ water cistern _ his _ own .
17 Until come _ I and _ take _ away DOM _ you _ all to a _ land like _ land _ your _ all’s_ own a _ land of _ grain and _ new _ wine a _ land of _ bread and _ vineyards .
18 Lest he _ should_ mislead DOM _ you _ all Ḩizqiyyāh to _ say YHWH deliver _ us the _ delivered the _ gods the _ nations anyone DOM land _ his from _ hand of _ the_ king of _ ʼAshshūr .
19 Where [were] _ the_ gods of _ Ḩₐmāt and _ ʼArpād where [were] _ the_ gods of _ Şə farvayim and _ because/when they _ have_ delivered DOM Shomrōn from _ hand _ my .
20 Who in _ all the _ gods the _ countries the _ these [are _ those]_ which they _ have_ delivered DOM land _ their from _ hand _ my (cmp) he _ will_ deliver YHWH DOM Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) from _ hand _ my .
21 And _ silent and _ not they _ answered DOM _ him/it anything if/because [was] _ the_ command the _ king it to _ say not answer _ him .
22 And _ came ʼElyāqīm the _ son of _ Ḩilqiyyāh who [was] _ over the _ palace and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son of _ ʼĀşāf the _ recorder to Ḩizqiyyāh torn of _ clothes and _ told to _ him/it DOM the _ words of _ [the]_ Rab- shaqeh .
