uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-symaction

אָבֵ֖ל וַחֲפ֥וּי רֹֽאשׁ

mourning and,covered head

People often covered their heads to show that they were either extremely sad or ashamed. Alternate translation: “covering his head because he felt completely disgraced”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

6:10-12 do just as you have said for Mordecai the Jew: With utter shock at this complete reversal, Haman could do nothing but obey the king’s command, right down to the last detail.
