TSNTyndale Study Notes:

1:15 their king: The Hebrew term malkam may be a reference to the Ammonite god Molech. In ancient times, people believed that a conquered nation’s god or gods went into exile together with them (see 5:26-27; 1 Sam 5:1-2; Isa 46:1).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

(Occurrence 0) Their king will go into captivity

(Some words not found in UHB: and,go king,their in/on/at/with,exile he/it and,princes,his together he/it_had_said YHWH )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea behind the word captivity, you can express the same idea with a verbal form such as “capture.” Alternate translation: “Their enemies will capture their king and take him away as a prisoner”
