OET (OET-RV) When he heard of it, he was confounded and discouraged, because the things he desired had not been done to Israel, nor had such things happened as the king commanded him.
BrLXX Ὁ δὲ ἀκούσας συνεχύθη καὶ ἠθύμει, ὅτι οὐχ οἷα ἤθελε, τοιαῦτα γεγόνει τῷ Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ οὐχ οἷα ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ ὁ βασιλεὺς, τοιαῦτα ἐξέβη.
(Ho de akousas suneⱪuthaʸ kai aʸthumei, hoti ouⱪ hoia aʸthele, toiauta gegonei tōi Israaʸl, kai ouⱪ hoia eneteilato autōi ho basileus, toiauta exebaʸ. )
BrTr who, when he heard thereof, was confounded and discouraged, because neither such things as he would were done unto Israel, nor such things as the king commanded him were come to pass.
