BrLXX Ὧν εἰ μὲν τῇ καλλονῇ τερπόμενοι, θεοὺς ὑπελάμβανον, γνώτωσαν πόσῳ τούτων ὁ δεσπότης ἐστὶ βελτίων· ὁ γὰρ τοῦ κάλλους γενεσιάρχης ἔκτισεν αὐτά.
(Hōn ei men taʸ kallonaʸ terpomenoi, theous hupelambanon, gnōtōsan posōi toutōn ho despotaʸs esti beltiōn; ho gar tou kallous genesiarⱪaʸs ektisen auta. )
BrTr With whose beauty if they being delighted took them to be gods; let them know how much better the Lord of them is: for the first author of beauty hath created them.
WEBBE If it was through delight in their beauty that they took them to be gods,
⇔ let them know how much better their Sovereign Lord is than these,
⇔ for the first author of beauty created them.
