BrLXX ὅτι οὐ καθὼς ἐκείνους ἐπύρωσεν εἰς ἐτασμὸν τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν, καὶ ἡμᾶς οὐκ ἐξεδίκησεν, ἀλλʼ εἰς νουθέτησιν μαστιγοῖ Κύριος τοὺς ἐγγίζοντας αὐτῷ.
(hoti ou kathōs ekeinous epurōsen eis etasmon taʸs kardias autōn, kai haʸmas ouk exedikaʸsen, allʼ eis nouthetaʸsin mastigoi Kurios tous engizontas autōi. )

Wycl but arette we, that these same turmentis ben lesse than oure synnes, and bileue we, as seruauntis of the Lord that ben chastisid, that the betyngis of the Lord ben comun to amendyng, and not to oure perdicioun.
