BrLXXὩς δὲ ἤγγισεν Ἰούδας ἐπὶ τὸν χειμάῤῥουν τοῦ ὕδατος, ἔστησε τοὺς γραμματεῖς τοῦ λαοῦ ἐπὶ τοῦ χειμάῤῥου, καὶ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς, λέγων, μὴ ἀφῆτε πάντα ἄνθρωπον παρεμβαλεῖν, ἀλλʼ ἐρχέσθωσαν πάντες εἰς τὸν πόλεμον.
   (Hōs de aʸngisen Youdas epi ton ⱪeimaɽɽoun tou hudatos, estaʸse tous grammateis tou laou epi tou ⱪeimaɽɽou, kai eneteilato autois, legōn, maʸ afaʸte panta anthrōpon parembalein, allʼ erⱪesthōsan pantes eis ton polemon. )
