OET (OET-LV) and in the knowledge the self-control, and in the self-control the endurance, and in the endurance the devoutness,
OET (OET-RV) to that knowledge add self-control; to that self-control add endurance; to that endurance add godliness;
Here is the basic message of this section: Christ has given Christians everything they need to live in a way that is good and that pleases him, so every Christian should try hard to become a strong and mature Christian. If they become that kind of Christian, it will be right and proper for God to allow them to enter heaven, Christ’s eternal kingdom.
and to knowledge, self-control;
As well as being people who know how to behave wisely, you(plur) must also control yourselves so that you do not do the bad things that you want to do.
self-control: This refers to a person controlling his own body, and refusing to do evil things even if he wants to do them.
and to self-control, perseverance;
As well as controlling yourselves, you(plur) must also be patient in trouble.
perseverance: This refers to being patient while suffering, and to being steadfast. Here is another way to translate this word:
endurance (NRSV)
and to perseverance, godliness;
As well as being patient, you(plur) must also live in a way which pleases God.
godliness: See note on 1:3a.

OET (OET-RV) to that knowledge add self-control; to that self-control add endurance; to that endurance add godliness;
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
