OET (OET-RV) Because of this, the children of our people besieged the citadel[fn] and were alienated from us; but as many of us as they could catch, they killed, and plundered our inheritances.

BrLXX Καὶ περικάθηνται εἰς τὴν ἄκραν υἱοὶ τοῦ λαοῦ ἡμῶν, χάριν τούτου καὶ ἀλλοτριοῦνται ἀφʼ ἡμῶν· πλὴν ὅσοι εὑρίσκοντο ἀφʼ ἡμῶν ἐθανατοῦντο, καὶ αἱ κληρονομίαι ἡμῶν διηρπάζοντο.
(Kai perikathaʸntai eis taʸn akran huioi tou laou haʸmōn, ⱪarin toutou kai allotriountai afʼ haʸmōn; plaʸn hosoi heuriskonto afʼ haʸmōn ethanatounto, kai hai klaʸronomiai haʸmōn diaʸrpazonto. )
