In this section Paul talked about the importance of love. He described how a person who loves will behave toward others. He concluded that love is more important than any of the spiritual gifts. One day all the spiritual gifts will cease, but love will never cease.
Here are some other possible section headings:
Love
Paul urged believers to act in love
The way of love
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
For we(incl) only know part of the truth about God. We can only prophesy part of the truth about God.
For now we only know some spiritual matters and we can only declare some things about God.
For: The Greek conjunction that the BSB translates as For introduces more information about how the spiritual gifts of knowledge and prophecy will come to an end.
we know in part and we prophesy in part: Paul wrote about spiritual gifts that God gives to people in this age. By these gifts he lets us know some truths about him. No Christian knows everything or prophecies all the truth about God and his ways.
Here are some other ways to translate this clause:
God lets us(incl) know things, but we don’t know everything; God lets us prophesy but he doesn’t let us prophesy all things
we(incl) only know part of the truth about God, and we can only prophesy part of the truth about God
we know…we prophesy…: The Greek words that the BSB translates as know and prophesy are verbs. In 12:8 through 13:8 these spiritual gifts have been referred to with nouns. The Greek says “knowledge” in 12:8 and 13:8. The Greek says “prophecy” (12:10, 13:2, 13:8) and “prophets” (12:28–29). In some languages you may be able to follow the Greek usage, but in some languages it may be necessary to use verbs throughout this passage.

γὰρ
(Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ἐκ μέρους γάρ γινώσκομεν καί ἐκ μέρους προφητεύομεν)
Here, For introduces Paul’s reason for saying that prophecies, tongues, and knowledge will pass away. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express For with a comparable word that introduces a reason why someone has made a claim. Alternate translation: [In fact,] or [That is because]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
(Occurrence -1) ἐκ μέρους
(Some words not found in SR-GNT: Ἐκ μέρους γάρ γινώσκομεν καί ἐκ μέρους προφητεύομεν)
Here, in part refers to how something is only a part of a larger whole. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express in part with a comparable expression that indicates that something is only part of a larger whole. Alternate translation: [partially … partially] or [imperfectly … imperfectly]
13:9 None of the spiritual gifts gives us full understanding; unlike love, they are all limited in their benefits.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
