BrTrAmong whom none knows what is the way of the wind: as the bones are hid in the womb of a pregnant woman, so thou shalt not know the works of God, even all things whatsoever he shall do.

ULTJust as you are not knowing what is the way of the wind, as the bones come into the womb of the full woman, so thus you do not know the work of God who works everything.

USTWe do not know where the wind comes from or where it goes,
⇔ and we do not know how bodies are formed in a woman’s womb.
⇔ Similarly, God is the one who makes everything,

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

11:5 The activity of God is often unpredictable and mysterious. Our job is to work when we have the opportunity to do so (see Prov 12:11; 24:27).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) As you do not know the path of the wind

(Some words not found in UHB: just=as not,you know what? road/way_of the,wind to,bones in/on/at/with,womb the,pregnant so not know DOM work the=ʼElohīm which/who he/it_made/did DOM the,everything )

This speaks of wind blowing as if wind traveled on a path. Alternate translation: “As you do not know where the wind comes from or where it goes”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche

(Occurrence 0) how a baby’s bones grow

(Some words not found in UHB: just=as not,you know what? road/way_of the,wind to,bones in/on/at/with,womb the,pregnant so not know DOM work the=ʼElohīm which/who he/it_made/did DOM the,everything )

This could mean: (1) Here “bones” is a synecdoche representing the baby as a whole. Alternate translation: “how a baby grows” or (2) literally, “how the bones of a baby grow”
