OET (OET-RV) When the men of the city saw them on the top of the hill, they took up their weapons, and went out of the city against them to the top of the hill. Every man that used a sling kept them from coming up, and threw stones at them.
BrLXX Καὶ ὡς εἶδαν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἄνδρες τῆς πόλεως ἐπὶ τὴν κορυφὴν τοῦ ὄρους, ἀνέλαβον τὰ ὅπλα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἀπῆλθον ἔξω τῆς πόλεως ἐπὶ τὴν κορυφὴν τοῦ ὄρους· καὶ πᾶς ἀνὴρ σφενδονητὴς διεκράτησαν τὴν ἀνάβασιν αὐτῶν, καὶ ἔβαλον ἐν λίθοις ἐπʼ αὐτούς.
(Kai hōs eidan autous hoi andres taʸs poleōs epi taʸn korufaʸn tou orous, anelabon ta hopla autōn, kai apaʸlthon exō taʸs poleōs epi taʸn korufaʸn tou orous; kai pas anaʸr sfendonaʸtaʸs diekrataʸsan taʸn anabasin autōn, kai ebalon en lithois epʼ autous. )
BrTr And when the men of the city saw them, they took up their weapons, and went out of the city to the top of the hill: and every man that used a sling kept them from coming up by casting of stones against them.

DRA And Achior related in the midst of the ancients, and in the presence of all the people, all that he had said being asked by Holofernes: and how the people of Holofernes would have killed him for this word,

Wycl Therfor in the myddis of eldere men, and in the siyt of alle men, Achior seide alle thingis, whiche he was axid of Holofernes, and hadde spoke, and hou the puple of Holofernes wolde sle hym for this word,
(Therefore in the midst of elder men, and in the sight of all men, Achior said all things, which he was axid of Holofernes, and had spoke, and how the people of Holofernes would slay/kill him for this word,)
