OET (OET-RV) But he looked towards [fn]the king and said, “Because you have authority amongst men, though you are corruptible, you do what you please. But don’t think that our race has been forsaken by God.

BrLXX Ὁ δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ἰδὼν, εἶπεν, ἐξουσίαν ἐν ἀνθρώποις ἔχων φθαρτὸς ὤν, ὅ θελεις ποιεῖς· μὴ δόκει δὲ τὸ γένος ἡμῶν ὑπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ καταλελεῖφθαι.
(Ho de pros auton idōn, eipen, exousian en anthrōpois eⱪōn fthartos ōn, ho theleis poieis; maʸ dokei de to genos haʸmōn hupo tou Theou kataleleifthai. )
