OET (OET-RV) But he answered in the language of his ancestors and said to them, “No.” Therefore he also underwent the next torture in succession, as the first had done.
BrLXX Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς τῇ πατρίῳ φωνῇ εἶπεν, οὐχί· διόπερ καὶ

BrTr But he answered in his own language, and said, No. Wherefore he also received the next torment in order, as the former did.
WEBBE But he answered in the language of his ancestors and said to them, “No.” Therefore he also underwent the next torture in succession, as the first had done.
DRA But he answered in his own language, and said: I will not do it. Wherefore Ire also in the next place, received the torments of the first:
RV But he answered in the language of his fathers and said to them, No. Wherefore he also underwent the next torture in succession, as the first had done.
KJB-1769 But he answered in his own language, and said, No. Wherefore he also received the next torment in order, as the former did.
KJB-1611 But hee answered in his owne language, and said, No. Wherefore hee also receiued the next torment in order, as the former did.
