BrLXX Ἐνταῦθα οὖν ἤρξατο τὸ πολὺ τῆς ὑπερηφανίας λήγειν ὑποτεθραυσμένος, καὶ εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν ἔρχεσθαι θείᾳ μάστιγι κατὰ στιγμὴν ἐπιτεινόμενος ταῖς ἀλγηδόσι.
(Entautha oun aʸrxato to polu taʸs huperaʸfanias laʸgein hupotethrausmenos, kai eis epignōsin erⱪesthai theia mastigi kata stigmaʸn epiteinomenos tais algaʸdosi. )
BrTr Here therefore, being plagued, he began to leave off his great pride, and to come to the knowledge of himself by the scourge of God, his pain increasing every moment.
WEBBE Therefore he began in great part to cease from his arrogance, being broken in spirit, and to come to knowledge under the scourge of God, his pains increasing every moment.
